mancityfans tshirt competition

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

mancityfans tshirt competition

Postby Patrick » Sat Jul 27, 2013 8:51 am

As you can see in the previous thread we have had to ask for donations again - we hate doing it needs must

In the past we have raised funds by designing and selling Tshirts - but we haven't had one for a few years now, hence the poor financial position!

This year we want it to be a site member who designs the shirt so if you fancy yourself as the next Alexander McQueen or Gianni Versace - get your designer hat on and have a go - its pretty cool seeing your tshirt being worn at the ground!

Just remember a few simple rules -

The design can be both front and back

Fewer colours = cheaper production costs

Any mention of mancityfans must be kept discreet as we sell these to non forum people as well

Once you have finished your designs, please email them to me pjsbardsley@gmail.com - we will then create a short list and the forum gets to pick the winner!

Closing date for entries will be the eve of the start of the season Sunday August 18th

Designs can be just text or complex art - its up to you - dont get put off by the idea that this is something difficult to do - you can even get tshirt blanks to fill in on the web!

I will feedback how the entries - if we get any - are coming along

If we dont get any entries, I will just design a shit one again - so people are depending on you

Good Luck

I'm thinking half an aldi bin bag, half an asda bin bag sewn in the middle to get contrasting shades, a little swish on the right breast and a huge stick on badge on the right - groundbreaking

I've got an official City subbeuteo shirt given to me about ten years back, not sure it made the shelves of the store or not as it was given to me by a customer at hasbro who did all the licensing approvals.

I like it MRM, I really do but you may come unstuck under copyright issues? Perhaps a "bar football" figure might be better?

I think we should welcome Pelligrini so how about this but on a Blue shirt

It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

How about a new City crest that's more in keeping with Manchester as it really is, and not with a golden fucking eagle on it? You could have a pigeon leaning against a wall, smoking a spliff and simultaneously coughing, with an umbrella held aloft and rain teeming down. You could retain the three rivers but with a shopping-trolley floating down one of them and you would only partially be able to see the stars because of some clouds. Oh, and the pigeon could have the mancityfans.net emblem on its brolly....

I see no reason why the search should go on any longer...

Perfect.
