Agree. Thought he had an excellent game. Pellegrini is going to have a major headache when it comes to picking his midfielders

I rate Milner very highly and he just needs a decent run in the side. He works his arse off. I hope MP gives him a go. Bobby never really did.

Pushing it a bit far saying he is England's best player.Quality pro without a doubt and will get plenty of game time this season but I expect he will be part of lots and lots of rotation this season.

Navas looks a shoe in on the right side when we play our "best" team and suspect Silva or Jovetic may well take the left side position even if only notionally a left sided role.If Yaya and Fred take the 2 slots in the middle with 2 "strikers" there is no way Milner will be a guaranteed starter.

Not a problem though as I said with all the rotation likely and all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

I like Jimmy, but that says a lot about the quality of the current England squad that it's even debatable.

Dont rate him as high as alot of people.
Final ball is often not good enough.
He's just one of those players that does something great one minute and then next minute fucks it up!
I like he's work ethic for the team, theres better wingers out there.

Who would I say is England's best player? Not quite sure but Cole, Gerrard, Rooney, Baines, Lampard are all better than Milner I'd say.

I quite like Milner and would say he should be in England's first XI, but their best player? Nah.

Think Milner has progressed fantastically well over the last couple of seasons meself ...... a bit like Zabba ! Also it has been noticeable Pellegrini has used him a lot so far in which Milner seems to be flourishing which is interesting with all the world class talent we have in our MCFC midfield ranks ....... hence the Q is he now the best English player in the Prem ? Gerrard and Lampard certainly better in there day but now in the twilight of there careers ....... Cleverly , Carrick and Welbeck ...... dont even go there but they are rags arent they ! ;-)

Milner has been very solid for us a proper 100% effort player every time he puts on the shirt.It does seem that his efforts do somewhat go under the radar especially amongst the masses.

Often deserves more starts than he gets, really hope he kills it this season and people take notice.

Big fan of Milner, plus he makes lovely hats....

Wow how can a couple of posters even say Shrek is better than Milner. Rooney is one of England's worse players, so bad he is taking up a space a committed striker would love the chance of.
