Strong rumours that we are bidding for him i think if the rumours are true it's great news. This guy is a special player and him and Fernandinho worked very well together at Shakhtar.

I'd be interested to see the pair playing together, but we aren't the only ones looking...... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... up-2138314 (it is NOT the only article either).

A left winger, hmmm with Navas on the right that is some width. I see Navas playing more games than any of the other AM's from the little I have seen of him so far.

If he did come our mid field would look even more ridiculously scary than it already does!

If it is true, some of the team will be leaving. There's strength in depth and then there is too many players battling for one place which will cause unrest.

Hopefully Garcia will go, but I think it will be Barry who goes.

Also a little worried we are trying to strengthen the wrong positions. I think we still need a quality CB and LB to enhance our chances in the CL.

Oh no doubt some will get shipped out IF he were to come and I think you may well see Nasri push for a move as a result too.

Entirely agree that we still need CB and LB cover, the latter we need someone better than Kolarov to play second fiddle to Clichy.

Although if we had a true LW then when Kolarov is called upon to play he can concentrate on staying back rather than trying to be a LWB and getting caught out defensively.

Get rid, use Zabba & Lescott as left back cover & sign Willian. Then rotate the whole attacking unit, plus Pozo & Lopez & the whole centre/ defensive midfield & the centre backs, possibly including Boyata.

If the standard of improvement from Dzeko, Nasri, Boyata is genuine & maintained, then we could genuinely have two teams of almost equal standing & rotate ALL the players regularly, rather than knackering out 6 or 7 of them by playing them all the time.

I don't know mate the most reliable source is a guy called Gustav Hoffman a journo in Brazil he is very highly regarded on his football news and he tweeted about the Willian deal earlier saying basically the same as the above tweet i put up.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

the guy is a quality player and was good alongside Fernandinho but i dont see how we could bring him in now.
we would have to sell Garcia, Barry, and Nasri or Milner. There comes a point where having too many good midfielders is an issue.
Especially since we should be looking at defense if we buy anymore....which i doubt we will.

Yeah so if we bring in 1 left winger/attacking mid we have to sell 2 defensive midfielders and an attacking mid or a CM/right winger?

Could you elaborate?

Apparently he is on 150k twice as much as Fern. MCFC worried about FFP compliance.

Zabba is more than adequate on the left. Just like Clichy he is a right-footed player who is not bothered on the left side. As for Lescott, he would be fine cover in league cup matches or against very very slow wingers, but he cannot pace most outside players.

Sure.

I listed those players as they appear to be the surplus requirements. The Nasri/Milner one was thrown in because with Willian we'd have alot of MFs. To buy someone for 30m after spending around 90m and trying to comply with FFP we would have to sell and raise funds.

I definitely don't want Milner to leave though.

But all of this is irrelevant as we aren't in for him

Ok, here is what happend.

The owner of Anzhi, Suleyman Kerimov, stopped the finances. Dunno why, dunno how, but he will reduce the wage bill from now on and he put in charge Gadzhiyev, a new manager that demanded a low wage.

Anzhi reached an agreement with Dinamo for Igor Denisov, Iuri Jirkov and Aleksandr Kokorin, three of their best, so it looks like they are going to sell the best ones. The rumours are he is almost bankrupt, however, i don”t know about Willian to us.

They linked City with him because is the natural thing to do, the original article linked us, Monaco and PSG, the only teams who would pay for him that much.

At the moment we are linked with Pepe, Suarez and him. The total amount is about 110 mil.

Bollox imho.
