Woo zaha in the squad. England are a piece of shit and every manager is clueless. They just pick from the rags. Nice to see lambert there though, highest scoring english player.

Beyond Lescott, I can't actually think of any City players who should be in there.

Totally agree.................England haven't got the players to win anything so I'd prefer them not to pick any City players. Less games less chance of getting injured.

Zaha gets in just after he signs for the scum just like jones, cleverly, and young before him. If his form last year wasn't good enough, what has Zaha done in the past few months that has warranted a call up? Play in a rag friendly?
Also how Glen Johnson, Kyle Walker, and Chris Smalling continue to get called above Micah is madness

Bit angry. Not even English, are you?
Lescott, Richards and Rodwell should all be in that squad. It's ridiculous that Zaha gets a place simply by virtue of now being a darksider.

Its just a shame to see a player like Richards get left out of the national team for about 4 years now for no reason at all. And agree that Rodwell should be in there over cleverly, zaha, welbeck, or jones

It does make you wonder what goes on in RH's (or indeed his predecessors) minds. Do they think "ooh. he plays for the great Man U, he must be good, or is there some predetermined FA thing says that's who he should pick.
Weird.

Playing for the scum is close to a guarantee of being selected for England. Wellbeck had a shocking season as a striker for England but gets selected for the scum because he runs and runs which is helpful in the way they play.
Cleverley was being touted as the new midfield superstar but again through the season was found out more and more.Everyone knows the scum's midfield is their weakest area and apart from Carrick was awful last season and Cleverley couldn't hold a regular place in it.But he plays for the scum so gets selected automatically. If Rodders was there he would be automatic as well.

Even Hodgson cant ignore Rodwell IF he stays fit AND gets matchtime for us this season. He's a different class to Cleverley.

If this is the best squad we can choose, as a footballing nation we're doomed.
The future holds nothing but abject and vapid mediocrity.
