I did follow him on twitter and he did come across as quite an odd bloke, quite needy of the attention of the supporters of his blog as he tended to retweet any praise he got. He had a hissy fit the other week when he suddenly lost a lot of followers, stating how it didn't bother him ... again and again .... I did the only thing I could, and stopped following him immediately.

Haha, about right that.

I have to confess I made a play for the whole City Blogger thing (i'd imagine a few of us here did/I'm not bitter) but I obviously fell short, I boasted in my application about posting on here which I can only think was the nail in the coffin.

With hindsight, based on the others who got the gig, I should have said (well fabricated) a back story that I was an ex pat season ticket holding journo who travels to games each week from east germany by hitchhiking with romanian gypsys while practicing my fluent 9 languages, one being shyriiwook, the other 8 being variants on bullshit.

That would have nailed it for sure... I just didn't lay on a interesting enough back story in my application... *sigh* and there I was thinking it was about blogging football... ;D

Good luck to the lads/lasses who got the gig though, I'm sure it will be an intriguing read!
