If we're having a sweep then I'll take Hughes - but just so long as 'jumping ship' is seen to be the same as 'getting the sack' inasmuch as it's a parting of the ways of a club and it's manager. I can't see Hughes being fired. Stoke knew who they were getting when they signed him, and he's a good fit for them - a mid-lower table club with no exceptional ambitions. They don't want to attract big-name signings, and he's able to grind out points toward the end of a season. I can see him walking, though, and possibly eyeing up Mackay's situation at Cardiff.
