My biggest gripe about last night, (most of you watching on TV were probably spared it): that fucking woman singing Blue Moon, like 'Live At The Fucking Apollo'. I expected it to segue into 'Somewhere Over The Fucking Rainbow' with a full demonstration of her six octave, slightly out of tune, fingernails on a blackboard, voice.

City, whoever she was, & if you have got any more like her lined up: NO.

This is not the Superbowl, & if it was, the 'artiste' would at least probably be someone perceived by the clueless unmusical masses as being 'good' so they would get some pleasure out of it, even if it made my flesh crawl. NOBODY enjoyed that skriking bag of shite last night.

Once again City: NO.

And she tried to get the Newcastle fans to sing it as well as they would join in. Truly horrible and embarrassing.

It was a WTF moment for sure - if she had to have a bellow then she should've given it large pre-match in City Square where it wouldn't have looked quite so daft.

Whilst I tend to agree with the comments on the singer, just feedback from a Toon fan.............

I took a Toon mate along as a treat and suggested we get there early to enjoy the 'full matchday experience'.

So we duly got the tram in and got into the buzzer bar at about 1730. I was explaining about CITY Square and he was taking in the presenters (quite impressed by Nat) and we enjoyed several pints talking to other blues - even though his strong Geordie accent made it clear where he was from.

Then on into the stadium - his 1st time and on with the match.

Up to kick off he was eulogising about just how impressive the CITY set up is - shortly after he was just muttering about how shite the Toon were.

So from an outsider point of view we have something that does not exist elsewhere and is streets ahead.............

Shame I could not coax him back into the Buzzer bar after the match - it was probably my comment that we could watch all the highlights again and again that made him prefer a drink in town!!

I'm talking purely about the girl singing Bluemoon on the pitch though, preventing us from doing so, not City square. If they want to have her caterwalling in City square, I'm not arsed. If your Geordie mate was impressed with her, there is probably something wrong with him. Mind you, they do have that stupid cunt with the cap on singing 'geordie songs' sometimes up there, so perhaps Diana Dross was an improvement.

And the good thing is that she seems to have returned Homer Simpson's makeup gun to it's owner. Looked very nice yesterday.

And the fact you're looking at her face tells us all we need to know about you.

It was truly awful! Not sure if it was timing or if someone at the club realised that it dropped like a stone shite but i did notice they cut her short.

Speaking of new things - did anyone leave by the gas tank exit last night? Totally brain dead planning - a mass crowed squeezed into a passageway that narrowed as it got closer to the exit and started to cause a crush. All so they could let the cars out of the same exit onto A.Turing Way and put orange barriers to stop people from going on the road.

Only people it helped were the feckless who leave early every game.
