Negredo

Will score 25+ this season. Easily the best header of the ball in the team and probably in the league.

Have a feeling he will be a hugely popular player here in time to come. (I'm already a fan.)

He doesn't look the most clinical but his movement and anticipation are great so he'll get plenty of chances and score a lot.

Works hard for the right positions so he is always going to be a chance, that header that went wide was really a palm to face moment and you can see why he was Europe's most wasteful player last season, but still racked up a better than 1 in 2 strike rate.

Sounds a bit Dzeko ish tbh.
Plenty of chances, plenty of goals but plenty of poor misses too.

I had a feeling he could have been trying to assist Aguero there.

I didn't think that, probably because Aguero wasn't where he put the ball, but case for the defence would cite his head movement looks as though the ball went where he intended.

My new favourite player. Works hard, defends from the front, makes himself available, gets in the box, makes chances and scores. I like Edin Dzeko but you feel Alvaro Negredo is always a threat.

No fannying around trying to walk the ball into the net. He has the direct approach that Tevez had when he first arrived. His scoring record in the short time here, speaks for itself.

Yeah but unfortunately it will be alongside aguero when its should be dzeko.

The two of them have both earned starts where as aguero is coasting.

Aguero's working hard, it's just not happening for him. Dzeko was lazy today as well as against Cardiff.

Aguero is not getting the ball out his feet quick enough and trying to do it all himself too often. Last week against Cardiff, about 3 times he had the ball just outside their area and had he looked up he would have seen the easy pass to play someone in for a far easier chance. Instead he tried to do it all himself, ran himself into blind alleys and ended up messing up the shot.
It's the exact opposite problem that Silva has.
He just doesn't look sharp so far. With the exception of his goal v Newcastle.

shouldve had 3 in 3. his movement looks great and he's very strong and mauls defenders.
