Yep, that's him. They call him something like 'le Bastardo' in Spain.

Loved the way he nearly knoced 2 players out without the Mario shit-fest that follows. I'd have preferred 2 goals but if we can't have that .......

I mentioned at the time that it reminded me of Joe Royle; his huge arse used to hit some defenders in the neck when he jumped for a header, he got so far off the ground. Some centre backs are going to be shitting their shorts about facing him if we can keep a good supply into the box.

If only we could get Dzeko showing the same aggression. Guidetti will give it a go if he ever gets fit but he's not quite so big.

I'd prefer Dzeko to score goals, even before the roughing up.

Dzeko needs to show something tomorrow as I would guess he will start. If he doesn't and just puts in one of those nothing efforts I think Pellegrini's mind will be scrambled

I like the look of Negredo, not just the aggression and the fact he throws his weight around but also his assists.. does everything he can to get the ball to someone. If he carries on like this he is going to be a class addition for City.

I'm not sure if he is first choice mate. Didn't he get subbed at half time against Hull?

Yes he did but I think his omission on Saturday may well mean he is number one to play with Aguero. Crazy maybe but possibly the way Pelle is thinking at the mo.

As much as I liked Joe Royle, it's a bit sad if that is what we are looking for in this day and age! I'm sure however that he has more to his game than grit, determination and violence.

The way he pulled down a ball with his right foot and deftly hit a 30yd pass with his left all in one movement suggests he has more than determination.

However, grit, determination and violence and exactly what we've been missing. Not that anything he did on Saturday was violent, he just didn't pull out for fear of getting hurt himself

I am sure the manager is still getting to grips with formations and especially individuals and what they are all about. It was a surprise to most of us that Dzeko got the nod last night (and Micah) but that suggests he thinks (maybe thought) he was the best man for the big game. Surely he will see what the rest of us see!

top professional. top goal last night, too. deserves to start every game until...our other options...prove themselves better.

Totally agree. I wouldn't have been overly upset if we had sold djeko during the summer. Let the beast and Kun develop into a special strike force

The Beast is a better player than Dzeko and only a blindman cannot see that. He has to start saturday.
