It's only a matter of time now he's retired that all the shit he was involved with gets aired. I can't wait.

The shame of it is that such relations are well known of inside the game as the rags have a reputation for inviting favoured referees, pundits and reporters to incredibly expensive, ridiculously lavish functions but nobody's ever made a song and dance about it for fear of getting further on the wrong side of old traffords pet referees, pocket pundits and hand-fed reporters.
I was very surprised to hear talkshite giving an opinion on the matter today as they, apart from Gough who knows fuck all about anything (can't even string a coherent sentence together), surly knew that this sort of crap has been going on forever.

Fact is that Halsey will have only put it in his book because it's so commonplace that it wouldn't seem odd to him to mention it in the context of his life in the game. It's what he hasn't mentioned that we should be really interested in . . . like how certain referees have managed to pay off huge gambling debts or send children to private colleges that have prices that even the very rich would wince at and how they afford such amazing foreign holidays on a referees pay. . . hmmm

And no, the most of it won't come out because it wouldn't be in the interest of those now at the top of the game to let it see the light of day.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Apparently Halsey is confused that he is being criticised for this revelation. "people ask us all to get closer ...managers, players, referees....so i do it and i get criticised...you cant have it both ways..."
Personally Mark all i want is for you and your mates to recognize a pen when you see one and not to give scum soft stuffy pens at old trafford in the first minute and deny another team a clear cut one the week after. Ok???

He knew darn well this would be the nugget in an otherwise totally inconsequential book because his ghost writer and publishers would have told him so. Hence "youll have to read the book"...no i fucking wont.
