So who's going to play? Reckon we'll see Pants, JoLeeeeen, Micah, Milner, Jovetic, Rodders, Garcia and one or two kids.

I'm hoping we strike a balance between resting some key players while taking it seriously enough to win. Still don't think we're established enough as winners to be dismissive of any trophy - it's not as fashionable as the CL but it's a cup, and a winnable one at that.
I'd like to see something like this, injuries permitting:
Panti
Richards Boyata Lescott Clichy
Milner Garcia Rodwell
Jovetic Dzeko Guidetti

I like that lineup but I'd like to see Silva in there somewhere. Top players bundled into 2nd string lineups sometimes find their form and get firing.

Haven't got a clue tbh, I know he was carrying a knock over the summer but no idea whether it was a more long-term thing. If he is fit though, I'd love to see him start.

I'd start Negredo again, he needs some more shooting practice. It will do him a world of good to get a couple of goals.

Silva will probably play to get a bit of game time. I'd expect jovetic and dzeko to start together.
Hopefully guidetti will get a run out if he is fit. Richards if fit. Rodwell of fit.
I'd like to see us take this cup seriously because no one else does apart from Liverpool and I think they will have their eyes on a bigger prize this year which leaves it wide open. An easy trophy for pellers to start with.

Ran his socks off yesterday. No chance of him starting tomorrow. Maybe a late cameo.

I'd put Devante Cole and Lopes in the squad and bring them on if were winning.

Don't see why not , these kids are young and as proved yesterday are fit. Should be a doddle for all of the squad

Oh, and whoever the fuck starts the NEXT thread, fucking mention if it's a Home/Away game, and mention competition (unless Premier League) in title ... makes it easier to go back to old threads once they go past the first page ...
And would be nice if you look up the ref appointments too :)
Manchester City v Wigan Athletic
Referee: Kevin Friend
Assistants: Michael McDonough and Edward Smart
Fourth Official: Graham Salisbury

I think we need a silva, nasri type player to create some chances. a midfield of garcia, rodwell and milner would be pretty flat imo

Expecting to see Pants, Micah, Lescott, Garcia, Milner, Jovetic and Dzeko all starting. I don't think Clichy, Rodwell or Silva will be risked.
Depends on how much Pellegrini wants to win as to which other 4 players start. Probably be Kolarov, Yaya, Navas and Nasri.

Can easily see us losing this one. Hope I'm wrong so youngsters get some games.
