How's your Monday morning been?

Postby Invisible Man Fan » Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:42 am

Walked in work this morning, didn't say anything.

One of them, after about 15 mins, said "Go on then, do your worst".

I have refused to, safe in the knowledge that he is already hurting inside.

There is another lad (ST Holder from Manchester no less) who's exact words were "We are shit, you are amazing"

Happy Monday!!!!!!!
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

Spoke to a rag at work this morning who is from Manchester and a ST holder, and I kid you not these were his words

"I thought the first 10 minutes we were good. We had 2 banks of 4 and you were just passing it around and getting nowhere. The goal only came because we pushed on and this left us short at the back from a long punt from Joe Hart"

I have heard of red tinted glasses before but jesus this is shocking. Were FC Scum on the TV yesterday by any chance? Maybe he got the wrong channel?

I've had the old 'it's your cup final and you always raise your game against us'!

You couldn't make it up.....ridiculous comment from a ridiculous rag!

The one I've had is "what have you ever won you've won nothing we've won 20 blah blah"

Told him he sounded like a scouser - living on memories soon to be distant ones. And then I said oh yeah but you are a scouser (he's from Runcorn but that's close enough)

Another rag told me he wouldn't exchange any of their players for ours apart from maybe Vinny, Yaya and Aguero. Oh and Silva maybe. This all in a West Country accent. The daft yokel.

I have got to stop going online at the pub, apparently I can't control what I say ......I will never learn!

None of the rags I know had their phone on last night.

Got a text from one this morning thou ... "Well done but we have got a shit team and a wanker of a manager, no excuse"

to which I replied with the obvious "that sounds like two excuses to me!"

The rag at my work is a really nice guy so it's hard to give it out much, he said he enjoyed the game as City were awesome to watch, even though his team were getting battered.

I think the rag fans are coming to terms with the fact that they just don't have the players in the squad anymore. Add that to Whiskey nose leaving and its a struggle.

It does make me laugh and wonder how the likes of Ashley Young, Welbeck and Cleverly get England caps. Surely there must be better options for the National Team.

1 thing I have heard from near enough everyone at work today is how they were amazed Gollum didn't make any changes at half time.

You aint wrong there, which is why England are pretty ordinary, and will be until they stop picking the squad because they play for the scum.

I'm happy that my rag work mates will have to wait another day to get both barrels ;-)

Dont forget Smalling. As soon as he siged for the RAGs he was apparently wonderful. Everytime I've seen him he's been surrounded in disaster but this doesn't count against him as he plays for the Evil Empire so that's OK.

2nd rag just appeared in the office and they've started quietly discussing what went wrong. So far I've heard "tactics", "embarrassment" and "lucky it wasn't 6-1"

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
