Now I get we had a bad result at the weekend but still looks like loads of tickets left for a match against the European champs - ffs - just don't get it...

I think the price is possibly a factor

I was horrified when i seen £63 taken out my account because i'm on the champs league scheme. Going off previous prices i expected to pay between £35-£40 for me and my lad.

So they didn't offer you lot the £99 deal for all three home games then? I would have thought logically you guys on the scheme should have been the first to be rewarded. Very odd of the club.

Yeah i think thats what i get although i will check because that would mean that the next 2 games will only cost me £36 for me and my lad.

They are rolling the pricing out for the 3 game package with cheaper prices for the next 2 games. Something to do with timings why they had to charge full price for the Bayern game, but I've been assured will only be charged £99 & £75 (concession) at the end

And yet some on here think we need to extend the ground to 60k.

Granted the prices are higher but if we cant fill 45k when we are at home to the current european champs it wil be an embarrassment.

Empty seats on weds should make the club think again on their admission price policy for this game

I don't have a season ticket as i did work weekends so I buy match day tickets when I can. But 63 quid for one game is a joke and that's not even for good seats. Considering how much money the club has turned around through foreign deals and new sponsorships I don't see why they need to rip us off when they have infinite cash.

Blame Platini, the need to maximise revenue streams for FFP calculations is clear. Same goes for your argument 103. Bigger capacity = bigger average gate = more revenue even if crowds varied in the currently sold out games and it was rarely full, and the expense of building it would be discounted for ffp too.

Looking better on the seat planner but they haven't yet put 3rd tier west stand on open sale yet

Embarrassment if it's not full. Maybe people would be happier with cheaper tickets and watching the likes of Burnley and Bolton week in week out.

I didn't go to the champs league games last year because i was in Afghan so i don't know what price tickets where but the 1st season i went to the games and they where good value. £20 for napoli and villareal and £25 against bayern if my memory serves me correctly.

I get stick at work from rags for City not selling out on CL games. My reply is that the competition does not carry the weight with blues as it does for them. We have not spent every year since 1967 saying it is the pinnacle of football. Of course they say we are bitter

Nobody has to go to the game (I do because they have already taken my 48 quid, but I have missed European games before as I work away from home2 weeks out of 3).

When was the last time they got a full house for a CL game before the last 8? I'd be surprised if it was in the last 10 years. I think they tend to get around 70% capacity for 2 of the 3 group games.

CL will never hold the importance to match-goers in the UK that it does on the continent due to match-going habits.

Maybe some people simply can't afford it? Are you George Osbourne?

Maybe we could make people on the dole come and watch us just so we can fill the ground.
