Negredo was made for the Premier League.

I think we have played a blinder signing him.A player who is reaching his peak.

A joy to watch him receive the ball, hold up play, distribute the ball, and he also has vision. Was unlucky not to score yesterday.

Is becoming my favorite player,i love players who put a shift in.

Class act. Great vision and awareness to leave the pass to Aguero. Seem to remember the press jizzing over sturridge when he did something similar for the dippers last year. As its City, nothing.

He is building a great understanding with Aguero & hopefully his unselfishness will rub off on Aguero a little bit. Can see the pair scoring a lot of goals this year

I didn't know much about Negredo until we'd signed him, but he is indeed an excellent player.

He has settled into the Premier League very quickly and seems right at home. His all-round game is excellent - he has the hallmarks of the old school number 9, whilst having a lot of skill and an excellent touch too. Opposition defenders must hate playing against him.

To top it off, he's being recognised for his talents by the Spanish national side and if you get into that side, you are clearly doing something right.

What an excellent name for a football-themed pub, "The Rattling Bar".

Sounds more like a knocking shop.

He's playing well though and I like the way he bullies players, he has them rattled.

Have to agree with the general view. A real handful for defenders.

If his name was Alvaro Horlock he would've been booked for walking towards the ball in an intimidatory manner :-)

The main thing about him imo is that aswell as being a bully/battering ram/beast of a striker, he's also excellent technically and can really play. Maybe a slightly lesser Drogba type player?

He's like a left-footed Alan Shearer for me.

Much as I grew to dislike Tevez the man, we needed him as a player. When Negredo plays, you don't notice Tevez isn't and there's probably no higher compliment on workrate.

His power and presence is everything Dzeko should have been for us. The more teams start to understand his threat, the more they'll leave room for Sergio, Silva etc.

Sits alongside Zaba as my favourite current player and he could have a few very successful years in England (I hope).

Negredo is looking like complete centreforward. Can anyone see Dzeko watching his performances and thinking to himself, thats the level i need to play at, i must up my own game or will he think his time is up and move on.

Hoping its the former.

Feel bad for Dzeko, he is finally finding some consistency and we get this guy into the team who IMO Dzeko will never outperform.

Really wished Dzeko would be a great hit, sadly seems like he'll never be more than a number two:-(

It's partly his own fault, though. He possesses a comparable amount of natural ability to AN but doesn't push himself as hard. He sometimes comes across as a man who feels he is owed an automatic starting berth, whereas Negredo carries himself like a man who's just landed a plum job and wants to keep it.

Dzeko was hot property whilst Negredo was a back-door signing amid little fanfare. This might also contribute to Negredo's reputation of being a surprise hit and Dzeko's of being a minor disappointment. (Whereas in actual fact Negredo had a much longer history of banging them in at a decent level at the time of his signing.)

Hard to feel sorry for dzeko when he's simply being outworked isn't it?

Negrado simply wants it more. As a city fan it's what we all want to see

Incidentally (apologies if posted elsewhere previously) Kevin Horlock was appointed, back in August, assistant manager for the Northern Ireland U21s.
