Just having a row about how many city players were fielded for England a few years ago.... I was sure it was 7 or 8 but can only name 5 Hart, Richards, Milner, lescott, Barry.... I'm sure there are more..... Please don't let me have made this up....

I think the most in a single game is 4, but in a squad is 7 (different games). I really can't remember where I heard that, or if it was a bona fide fact... I think we've done the 4 twice, one of those being back in the day before subs, or with 1 sub allowed.

Actually it was a competitive match, versus Switzerland, four started, two came on as subs, so six rather than seven.

According to wiki, sweep was a city player until 2011 so that must have been it.

I thought it was 7 as well, I think it's because while the match was being played I kept thinking it could have been 7 if they picked Micah at rightback (injuries permitting)

I'm pretty sure we also had 6 players in the game v Spain when we beat them 1-0. Hart, Lescott and Milner from the off, Barry and Aj from the bench (I think) with Big Dave playing for Spain.
