I thought for his 1st premier league game he did ok. He got better as the game went on. Maybe him and Kompany can create a rock solid partnership at the back.

Rock solid, were a loooong way from that.....problems at left back, in the sticks, both centre half, it will take more than him, a lot more.

Agree. I thought he did OK in a tough situation. Didn't make any silly mistakes but can't see him an Kompany as a permanent partnership.

Just a thought. We definitely need a new left back. Cheeky bid for Baines in January.

Awful to start with, but really starting to look the part as the game went on.

He was often the only player in the danger area for Chelsea's attacks as the others stood there like fucking traffic cones.

A stop gap at best. Pleased he played rather than Garcia and impressed with his debut, considering his partner probably has yet to even play 50 games of football. He is not however the answer long term and i suspect even after Jan

Had the same thought after Clichy let Torres go by him like he wasn't there.

He was better than nastasic today and better than Garcia has ever looked.

Not better than lescott.

To say he isn't better than Lescott after only playing once is a little premature.

I think we should. Firstly get a very good left back, secondly piss the rags right off

I think they must have changed the offside rule since he last played, but improved as the game went on. Bit early to say either way, but hopefully he can make a valuable contribution
