Yes I spotted it by accident though, more publicity would have been good. Worked a treat anyway

Is it open to jump straight on? Keep hush about it, it may slow down if it gets over subscribed ;-?

Yes, at least today. No user ID or passwords

Seemed to work pretty well, just stuttered and slowed a bit at half time, but I guess that's understandable and may get ironed out in time.

Defo slower at HT. A volume user issue which would hope they will fix if introduced permanantly. Think CISCO Sytems are providing so technical expertise will be available. Will no doubt have a survey before long. If it works the scum will copy, but charge !!!!

One of the surveys I did preseason made it clear that if we get wifi it will not be free

That's what I think, it's free now as it's being tested, that's why no big announcement yet and then it'll officially be launched with a price plan ... more ways to generate match day revenue, thank you platini u twat!

Well I hope that at the very least it's free for season ticket holders (and not just the Superbia ones!).

Who the hell would pay for a system that they will only use for a few minutes every other week?

I'm sure they can find a way to cover the costs - an accept the terms and conditions type screen for logging in which has adverts on it etc. There will be massive bandwidth into the stadium already, so the cost relates to the hardware required.

It was a bit flaky yesterday, but it's obviously in trial mode. Start of the game and during half time I couldn't even get a speed test to run on it. But my daughter took a photo of the scoreboard at 5-0 and messaged it to her phone and it worked perfectly. Guess they just need to turn it up a bit at peak periods

I suspect they my give you x amount of minutes free to each user per game via a log in, say 20 minutes? Anything else would be at a premium price..

This would cover most people's needs and stop people trying to stream the match out live?

Either way, it will be a hell of a lot of Wireless Access Points to cover the whole stadium, I have no idea how much they are for from Cisco (I would hate to think) the ones I use on jobs for my clients are about £350 exc VAT a pop and give coverage of about 200 to 300 sq mtrs.
