next Prem manager to leave job

After a 7 goal mauling with the Norwich players looking disinterested and not caring will Hughton take charge of Norwichs next game. Their last 30 PL games i think have yielded 27 points. Relegation form. Their 3 strikers have had 6 shots on target between them all season!

Maybe Jol, who was actually my pre season favourite. New owners and all that?

That's fucking awful, surely that can't be true?

Besides that, Norwich do look worse than any team I've seen for a long time, maybe only crystal palace to finish below them this year.

With that being the case and Sunderland so poor, Fulham can probably afford to give jol the season to see what he can do - although he finished the last one pretty poorly iirc.

I think both will go this week.

For Hughton it was the way Norwich played rather than the result

Just watching Hughtons reaction after the game and he looks shell shocked and you can see in his demeanour he thinks he's a goner

I'd be surprised if he's still in charge next weekend.

Hughton first, closely followed by Jol who might make it to the international break. Could Hughes be 3rd or is that just wishful thinking?

I don't get it. Why fire Hughton? So you can choose from the dregs of the coaching pool who have just gotten fired? PDC, Pullis, O'Neil, McLeish, Holloway? All of these guys just circle around the same jobs and trade off and then get sacked and it continues....

I agree, at times it feels like a merry go round of the same people at different clubs. However I don't know many clubs that would stick with a manager after a 7-0 beating though. Gonna be pretty interesting to see who goes first

Agree with Hughton, expect he hasnt got much time left - may be 24hours. Jol has been dire at Fulham since he got there and they are just consistantly shit with an odd splttering if luck and individual talent - i suspect he'll be gone before the Jan window.

Hughes will be given more time I suspect.

Back to Hughton, seems an all round good chap but shite manager in the Prem, good coach and good in the Championship but that's it - after all the uproar when he was fired from Newcastle it was actually a very good decision and kept the club up.

Only thing in his favour right now would be the fact that we've given them quite a few holdings in recent seasons an it's never effected their season really.

Hughton looked to have strengthened the side over the summer but it's all gone horribly wrong so far this season.Think he did well last season and it would be in Norwichs best interests to stick with him and see if he can get things back on track.

Both would be harsh sackings but I recall thinking the same about DI Matteo at WBA who was replaced by a manager who took them from relegation dog fighters to mid table security in a matter of weeks.

The Southampton sacking last season had me outraged, so much so I can barely remember his name now.

Nigel Adkins. At the time it seemed a shocking decision but since the new man, Pochettino?, came in they have barely lost a game

Hughton was sacked when Newcastle were 12th and in the middle of a fairly decent run, hence the uproar so to say it was a good decision because they stopped up is unfair on Hughton.

However, that doesn't detract from the fact that the Norwich fans were sick of the football he served up last season although they tolerated it as they stopped up, this season though that isn't the case and I expect him gone sooner rather than later. My money is on him being replaced by Malky McKay (sic?)

Still maintain Jol will be next. The new owner with the tash can't be happy with what he has seen and the Yanks traditionally go through managers like confetti. Jol is not his man and i think it will be easier for him to get rid of Jol than Delia to lose Hughton. On paper Fulham are a better side than their position whereas Norwich would be happy with survival

You have to laugh at the ideas Norwich fans have then.I think Norwich punched way above their weight again last season, finishing 11th was a great achievement for the club surely you would think the fans would recognise that.

It's hard to know what the fans expect from them.I would have felt retaining premier league status would be the main aim for a club like Norwich it's not as if the fans have become accustomed to success.

Malky Mackay is a contender. Might not be sacked but could walk. The set to with the lad who replaced his head of recruitment is not going away. He also might want to get out on his terms as well
