Demichelis

Impressed me at Chelsea, all things considered.

But had a bit of a mare on Saturday on the passing front. I counted 6 times - 5 with a pass and one with a simpe header - that he gave the ball straight to Norwich. A half-decent team would've scored a couple.

Needs to get a grip of that. I know Pelle is always looking for the early forward ball but Martin - just pass it sideways!

Perhaps he's a little rusty after his spell on the sidelines?

Besides, he who dares Rodders, he who dares.

A bit like Dunne in that he seems like a centre back that can perform on a certain level regardless of who he has playing besides him. With the gung ho football we are playing he'll suit just nicely. Lescott would have also though.

I also think/hope all the stray passes are a combination of being rusty and because Pellegrini has ordered him to seek those types of passes at any moment. A bit like when Sven wouldn't let Hart do anything but pass.

Over confidence in his own passing ability after a long layoff/rustiness I recon.

He is clearly good on the ball, much better than our other cbs, but it makes no odds if he tries to make the wrong pass. A top, or even decent team would have punished us.

We don't need David Luiz, just a defender, which he seems good at on first viewing.

Despite Demechilis' mistakes, I thought that the fact he was a right footed CB playing in his proper position, and a goalie not under intense scrutiny, gave the players in front of them a lot more confidence. Norwich bring rubbish helped too, of course.

Rustiness is a shite excuse , there is zero fucking excuse for giving the ball away 5 FUCKING TIMES in one match !!! and 5 fucking times it was backs against the wall.

Sounds like you rate him as highly as Lescott so he must be an ok defender and that's good enough for me :)

A Lescott and Demichelis partnership just might finish Carl off!

His passing was woeful against Norwich though, even though I didnt really notice it that much until my lad pointed out how shocking he was, and even the highlights picked up his poor passing and we won 7-0 LOL

In five games we should know if we have a kamikaze passer on our hand. If he is, he'll disappear. Lex Pizarro.

hahaha FUCKING CAARRRRLLL!

His passing was piss poor in places but by and large he can defend. He'll be reet for what we need him for IMO.

Doesn't compare mate. Javi Garcia can pass a ball and is very comfortable on it, but he's a midfielder, never a CB in a million years.

Demichelis is a good right CB and I'm just hoping it was a one-off game for him.

His fucking hair is so shit that i hope the cunt doesn't last much longer. I can hardly stand it. As a bald man i find it an affront to nature.

As someone fortunate enough to be extremely unbald, I don't have a problem with it apart from the bizarre decision to shave off the sideburns, probably in an attempt to appease the sensitivities of the mass collection of identical baldie clones staring out at him from the sidelines.

Either that or he is prospecting for a motorcycle club or has joined the Aryan Brotherhood. The next step for a longhair after this is usually the upside down head: shave head bald, grow large beard & tasche, wear sunglasses unnecessarily & start with the funny handshakes.

Either have hair or don't, y cunt.

Their first aside where he got sucked in I agree. Particularly impressed with how dominant he was in the air.
