Not sure I like Atkinson, too up and down for me. Sent Mario off twice in our title winning season (Dippers and Arse) and refereed last years home Derby in a manner that should've been reserved for Riley himslef.
Tough game though and we'll see what we, and Spurs, have going forward. I'm predicting a win but it won't be as easy as we've seen so far.

Needless to say, this is as must-win as they come ... 7th and 8th position teams fighting to jump a couple of places up ... the loser can forget about winning PL this season and will also be worried about top 4 given how well some others are doing and have thrown themselves into the mix. I just hope that team is them after the game and not us!
A draw at the merseyside derby and an arse loss or draw will do me just fine. If only West Ham can hold back Chelski and Cardiff play out their hearts as they played against us ... will round up the weekend just fine for us :)

Its at home so good City will likely turn up.
We will prob beat Spurs, Plzen and Swansea rattling in 10 goals in the process and once again we will be listed as title contenders.
Then no doubt we go away to WBA, lose 2-1, and be right back to square one again. 6/4 on Manuel says it is "incredible how we lost" after the Wba game too. And repeat until May 2015.

Komps and Silva are out for this one ... so there goes our defence and there goes our creativity ... we have struggled without Kompany, need I say anymore on that? ... and without Silva we were shit against Newcastle in LeagueCup tie and again against Sunderland ...
So should I be worried? ... Well in typical city scenario, this'll be the game that will kick start Spurs season, who have been shit so far, haven't been scoring much (now watch them put a couple past us), and a win away to us will just be the infinity in they require this season to kick on ... but then we are not typical City anymore? or are we?
Hope Fernandhino is back ... if we add him to the missing list and god forbid put Garcia anywhere on the pitch, then I'm afraid we have no hope.
Here's what I'm hoping for:
Panti
Zaba - Demi - Nasti - Kola
Ferns - Yaya
Navas - Nasri
Aguero - Beast
And I really don't care if we thrash them 4-0 or scrape a 1-0 win as long as we get all three points.
This game, given where we find ourselves in the table and where others are, has just become the most important fixture of the season for us!

easy 3 points. spurs are pathetic going forward this season and we're at home too.
they have what 9 goals in the league this season, 6 from penalties. truly pathetic if they think they are title challengers or even going to make chumps league.

Yet they have 20 points and us 19 ... who the fuck cares if they score 1 and get away with 3 points vs we go away, score 2 and still come back with zilch!

Out for three months? Another reason I don't like FIBs, am always worried for our players, hope they all come back OK, already have enough on the table ...
When is Komps back for us? And when is Silva back?

What is it with all the negativity? If spurs don't get a penalty they won't score. We'll win this at a canter.

I don't think any side can match us at home. Spuds really lack firepower going forward, so aren't going to test our dodgy defence (hopefully). We need to play a high tempo game and blow them out of the water. 4-1 city.

we are restricting Yaya there as Rodwell isnt disciplined enough to hold, has to be Fernandinho instead of Rodwell for me.

I don't think it will, I think Rodders needs to be playing alongside Yaya or Ferna in order to learn from them. He is an amazing talent. When one goes forward, the other holds. They are both clever enough to do that IMO.
Doesnt Ferna have a niggle?

I love the optimism but I am one of the pessimists.Spurs have a good defence and they will base their game around it and a packed midfield.Without Silva we might struggle to find a way through and although they aren't scoring many goals we have a slight habit of helping teams out in that department.Whether a lucky one or not I can't see Spurs failing to score.
We should win and I obviously hope we will be I have a nasty feeling something horrible is going to happen.

With you here fella. Spuds defence is sound. If we struggle v Sunderland we might v Spuds. They also have players who are capable of scoring from nothing. Am concerned about this one and can see a 1-0 defeat.
