I have always been one of Micah's biggest fans, but his size now seems to be a liability. Since he has returned he is nowhere near as good as he was two years ago. Question is has he bulked up too much muscle wise or is he just unfit and carrying too much weight( fat)?

Don't think his drop in form is to do with either.
He's just been very injury prone in the last couple of seasons and missed a hell of a lot of game time.
I'm confident with a good run in the side he'll get back to his best.

Problem being that he won't get a run of games unless Zaba gets injured. He needs to prove his worth in the limited time he's getting otherwise it'll be the door for Micah sadly.

Micah just needs a run of games, sadly he won't get them. He's very much a player who needs to get into his stride, which is fair enough as the vast majority of footballers are the same. It's just tough when you've been relegated to squad player status.

I just can not see it being fat with all the testing that they do. I have been introduced to testing this pre-season and they dont miss a trick and pick up on everything so I imagine the mens team who have a huge medical team, fitness experts etc would not allow one of players to be a fatty.

Micah's main trouble isn't his weight or muscle, its whats between his ears.
He is no further forward as a player than he was 3 years ago; he also did another stupid dive last night as well - why does he do that?
Time was that he and Zabba created a dilemma over who to select at the right back slot. Now it isn't even close with Zabba so far ahead it doesn't merit debate.

I don't think the real Micah played last night, I think it was Ashley Young in a Richard's suit! Why the fuck does he insist on this pathatic dive of his!

by lets all have a disco
He is just nitro jacked,SWOL,pump ripped, set pumped, hotter than the desert bigger than the ocean.
Etc etc.
Less shakes,more running needed.

I concur. This is most definitely about his desire to become a great right back rather than just a professional footballer, he don't seem to have one. In my opinion he is very happy with getting a paycheck and belonging to a winning team than he is about progressing as a footballer. I hate to see him trotting around the field like the other one on the opposite side, Kolorav. In one word he is LAZY.

I saw a CBBC programme (seriously) recently which followed round a young keeper at City (O'Brien?) from 16 to about 18 in the season we were champions. It was all about the people behind the scenes who allow footballers to be what they are.
One of the sports scientists called him in and was photographing him doing standing jumps (if he'd still been under 16, someone should have called the authorities). From that he spotted that he twisted one knee on takeoff which was a sign of weak bum cheek muscle. That info was then passed to one of the trainers in the gym who gave him some specific exercises to do.
Seeing that level of detail for a kid in an edited down 30 minute programme, I think it's safe to save Micah isn't fat. I also doubt he's been allowed to build to much muscle. Unfortunately, it may mean he's shit, but hopefully he's just out of form due to a lack of games

It's amazing what they do. I did some testing last night and my knees, hips and legs do things they shouldn't be doing. A programme will be put together and in 6 weeks I should be able to rectify these problems with specific exercises. It's prob a bit later for me but this is the way forward in sport.
