The view from the [strike]Away[/strike] Home End

Image

I have been looking forward to this game for completely the wrong reason; I just want to post this picture of Shane Long!
Hopefully the team will be motivated for this one after the recent results, but this is City after all. I am more than a little nervous about the game, but apparently not quite as much as the home fans. They do have a little confidence from our away form, but generally, not too many predicting a win on Wednesday night.

My Favourite

Oh dear is all i can say

And the rest...

Let's just hope SC is a little more adventurous against City or we may need calculators

Anything from Man City game is a bonus, they've not been too good away from home but their firepower worries me and without Mulumbu in midfield makes it even tougher.

The Man City game depends on which Albion and which City turn up. If we play like we did against Arsenal then I'd fancy us to get all 3 points but otherwise we'll be lucky to get a draw.

Hopefully their indifferent away form and our good form against the "big" sides will continue.

We were so unlucky last season..10 mins away from a win then Dzeko came on!...and some poor decision making

After todays inept performance (or non-performance!) I'm dreading gettiing a slaughtering on Wednesday

There millionaires have been on fire, we look of the boil.

Man City clearly have a great team and there's no question that getting back on a winning track will be tough, but Albion generally seem to perform well against this kind of opposition.

The good thing, after the disappointment at Newcastle, is that we have the opportunity to get back into action so quickly.

For me, one of the positives about the Championship from a supporters perspective (not that I want to return there anytime soon) was the volume of games, so whenever you took a hit you had the chance to bounce back very quickly.

In the Prem, unless you are involved in the European competitions or on a good Cup run, there often feels like there are long breaks in between games, and matches under the lights are so rare, so Wednesday night is very welcome.

So looking forward to Wednesday and hopefully we can up the tempo a bit and really get stuck into Man City.

Would be great to get something out of this but they know if they lose/draw against us they will be in for a slaughtering from the press/fans etc due to there away form

Surprising so many negative vibes for this one especially in the predictions thread, considering we beat Man U (deservedly) Chelsea (morally) & Arsenal (well we should of), three Champions League teams who we've took points off without the hint of a fluke & yet a lot of fans seem to have written us off because its Man City, suggesting we will get slaughtered, whilst this group of players frustrate the life out of me sometimes, I believe for the first time in our Premiership history, on our day we can beat any team, Wednesday brings no fear for me & it shouldn't for our players

Losing mulumbu has probaly cost us this game even though he was terrible saturday.

A few weeks ago I would have fancied us on Wednesday but whatever it was that made us click is now unclicking fast. I can't see where our goals will come from and I can't see us stopping them getting at least a couple

Did you also see the Sunderland v City game? or the Villa v City game? or how about the Cardiff v City game? If City play like they did in those games they'll be fortunate not to concede 5 goals

WBA 1 Man City 2 FGS Toure.

Vile and Cardiff beat them so why cant we. 3-2 Citeh

WBA 0 - 3 City

WBA 0-4 Man City

Can't see anything but a heavy defeat here, 4-0 City
2-1 with us scoring in the 89 & 90 minute

They're not very confident, are they? But then drawing a local derby against Villa after going 2-0 up in the first half would deflate anyone ...

Navas, Nasri, and Aguero should be able to run circles around their central defenders. If we just keep the ball on the ground and keep the pace up, we should be alright.

He's basing it on MOTD highlights :-(

Is Anelka fit. Him and Long would cause Demi problems all night long. Might have to be renamed Lionel Ritchie

They will pack their half and try stop us playing. Best thing to do I think is start negredo and dzeko and put a cross in every time we are in their third. One of them will end up in the back of the net. Nasri and navas will probably get kicked a lot but west brom won't be coming forward in numbers very often so kolarov and zaba should start and get up to provide support.

Aguero looked knackered against Swansea and stayed on far too long. I would like to see him rested for this because they are going to sit back and defend and he won't have much space to run about and will definitely be the target for all the nasty shit they will throw at us.

But if i was a west brom fan I would be quietly confident as we are one of the worst teams in the league away from home.

Didn't strike me at all that Kun was knackered. Where did you get that from ? Kun having a bad day at the office ? Sure , but tired .nah .

Pellegrini seems to have a different approach to 'resting' players. Rather than resting them for a whole game he seems to prefer giving gem around 60 minutes. It will be interesting to see how effect ticket hiatus over the season; it could be a less disruptive way of protecting players or overwork them, but it is always interesting to see different approaches.

Thought they would be a bit more confidant considering our away form.

Our away form is OK. The results are awful.

The stats comparing our home and away form were on the BBC website recently. Two things that stuck in my mind was that MCFC had conceded the fewest shots on goal away from home, and had completed more passes than al but one team.

In short we have been letting results slip through our fingers away from home. That's very different from what I've read above.

That's okay, Im_Asanctimoniouscunticus will be along shortly to correct him no doubt. After all, he wouldn't be one of those sad fucking pricks that trolls one persons' posts picking at the loose thread instead of actually addressing each post on individual merits would he? You think? Stalker much.

When negredo went off aguero was doubled over with his hands on his knees right infront of me. He was slow getting back when he was forward from about the start of the second half and he was constantly doubled over after any run he made.

He's not exactly dying on his feet but you could tell on Sunday he was lagging. We should be able to beat west brom without him and give him a rest and he will be better for it. Then another rest during the Munich game (which doesn't matter atall) because we have a game pretty much every 3 days until January and will need him at his best for arsenal.

Perhaps he was paying homage to you?

Kun had at least two good chances to score in the second half. It seemed like it wasn't his afternoon.

The spelling correction was posted before I called you a sanctimonious prick. Just luck of the draw that you made the same mistake you routinely call others out for (or is it trolling now?), and come across like a sanctimonious prick on a different thread the same day I suppose.

But stalker? You clearly have delusions of your own self importance.

I didn't think he looked as lively on Sunday, but he mainly struggled after being taken out by Williams in the second half.

He could be, perhaps you should investigate Slim ? Could save a heck of a lot of bandwidth
