Manchester City v Crystal Palace
Etihad Stadium, City of Manchester
Saturday 28 December 2013
Kickoff: 1500 GMT
Referee: Andre Marriner
Assistants: S Massey & M Perry
Fourth Official: Jonathan Moss
TV Coverage in UK: No LIVE Coverage
----
Sorry people, starting this early as I am travelling tomorrow so won't have time and there's hardly any time before we are back in action anyway ...
Whatever you say ... we are missing Aguero up front, and the Beast is not the same without the little Beauty by his side as well. Great that Zaba is back but he might be rested for this one ... and maybe give Hart a rest and play Panti (so he doesn't feel too left out on the bench all of a sudden?) Hart can come back in for the New Year game at Swansea ... I'd like that (for Panti's sake) but don't think Pellegrini will shuffle that end now ...
Lineup Prediction:
Hart
Boyata - Komps - Nasti - Clichy
Rodwell - Yaya
Milner - Nasri - Silva
Dzonkey
Score Prediction:
Manchester City 3 - 0 Crystal Palace

I have d feeling that for this one we might see Nasri/silva and Yaya/fernandhino take a half each, like we did in an earlier game to give them all a but if a rest.

i think it'd be cool if we saw:
Hart
Milner Vinnie Nasti Clichy
Rodwell Garcia
Nasri Yaya
Guidetti Dzeko
Zaba and Silva need to be rested after coming back from injury and this seems like a good match to work Nasti back in

Wouldn't it be nice if people actually read the first post (and saw my advance apology and reason for starting this early) instead of just trying to write their two lines in and move on ... would be a nice place if everyone posted positively instead of trying to score some sort of virtual points against each other ...

I'd pretty much go with that team too. I assume Rodwell is fit even though he was nt on the bench today. Neither the Beast nor Dzeko are as good without Aguero so hopefully he will be back soon

Worth mentioning that while we play Palace at home, Arsenal have to go away to Newcastle and Chelsea host Liverpool so potentially other three of the current top four should (and most probably will) drop points ...
PS. And Everton host Saints ... some good games this weekend then.

Love the lineup with Guidetti and Dzeko infront, I wish we could have :
Panti
Boyata Vinnie Nasti Clichy
Rodwell Ferna
Milner Nasri
Guidetti Dzeko
Panti should get these odd chances atleast like Hart did, don't want Garcia but he might get a start

I haven't seen Palace in recent weeks. Do they play like Stoke now?

That would not be cool at all. Palace deserve a lot more respect than a League Cup third round team, they're putting results together lately and it's imperative that we get three points given the other fixtures. The notion of starting Guidetti, who hasn't kicked a ball properly in fuck knows when, is madness. This isn't a game to work anyone back in from the start.
There's an argument for not playing Zabaleta and Milner at right back is the best alternative but other than that we should be playing the same team that started against Pool (unless Negredo is injured).

Any word on The Beast's fitness. Just looked like cramp to me and he looked stiff but not necessarily holding or reacting from anything specific as he walked off. He ran his bollocks off to be fair so unsurprising really.
Would be a great time for Glassetic to get some minutes and show us what he can theoretically do other than lying on a treatment table

Agree. Not sure why some people are treating Palace as if they are Accrington Stanley reserves.
Start with the best we've got and bring on Guidetti etc if we can get a 3 goal lead. However, Milner and Rodwell would be part of the best we've got so I'd be happy to see them play and I accept there's a game 46 hours later. But let's not mess up the home form with a dodgy team selection

48 hours after the Liverpool match this won't be a stroll, we need a strong team, very similar to yesterday, it's not the time to be experimenting with fringe players.
