Simple question Is he your favourite City player yes/no. If not who is and why? To me this guy is cult hero on a par with Kinky, Rosler, Goat and Benarbia. I don't count Balotelli as a cult hero as he is a Clown.

My favourite player is David Silva, my favourite player of my time is Shaun Wright-Phillips, my favourite player of all time is Alan Oakes.
That won't change until Silva no longer plays for us.

Of current team, it's between him and Silva.
That I've seen as an adult it's Trevor Francis, twat on the box, God in it.
Of all time it's Colin.

Haha. As if this thread couldn't have gone on the backburner until later on.

Jimmy Zaba Silva Kun and Kompany. I'm quite liking this season's Nasri too. If Fernie proves to be consistently good (as I'm sure he will) he will be a fave as well.

I'm with Slim on first two. I love The Beast but Silva's talent and eye for passis just so exceptional. Right up there with Maradona, Platini and Zidane.

I agree with this (when on form) but one thing prevents him being my favourite. "Shoot!". Frustrates the fuck out of me. Until he starts cutting inside & finishing with the quality he should, I will always have a reservation.
Imo, Fernandinho quietly played the best 45 mins by a midfielder anywhere all season today. The passes for Dzeko etc allied to his allround play & his two efforts on goal (a Keegan style 16 yard header & a Gazza style flick & shot) all with only Garcia as help in centre mid; absolutely immense.
Him & the Beast are battling it out for my favourite this season (Homer Simpson style in my head).

Negredo also makes things happen far more than Dzeko. There was one incident yesterday where he turned a Palace defender and left him for dead and then unluckily slipped and gave away a handball. He does that sort of thing every match he plays. He's a real handful for defenders. Still at the moment we need Dzeko. He does score goals and Jovetic is permanently injured. I think he'll be on his way in the summer along with Garcia Lescott and maybe Micah.

Would you go as far to say Fernandinho is possibly better without Toure? Yesterday he seemed to have more of a free role and we really saw his attacking talents. Not saying he's bad with Toure, but he did seem to playing with the shackles off yesterday.
