My grandma vs Garcia. I pay lot of attention on Finnish retirement home bridge leahues. Supposedly Grim Reaper is in for her but 20 quid worth of diapers would do it. I don't think they'd accept Garcia though since they have lot of people still moving on their own feet and don't need slower guys who need wheelchair.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

With all due respect, I wouldn't pay too much attention to you tube clips.
We could make one of Garcia and make him look like zidane.

I see he's 6 foot 4 . How quick is he? We really don't want another slow paced midfielder. Let's get more pace into the side FFS.

I guess if he's faster than Garcia he'll do

Allan Wells Olympic 100m champion was a six-footer so away with your short-arsed propaganda nonsense. :-)
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Here is your answer which you will not like :

http://sabotagetimes.com/football/neman ... city-again

Matič has proved exceptionally versatile at Benfica playing the deeper role in the Benfica midfield alongside Enzo Perez. He’s tall and strong (6 ft 4in), shields the ball well and breaks up the play with well-timed tackles. He works hard when the opposition has the ball, but his main strength lies in his ability to launch an attack from deep, to turn quickly with the confidence to run with the ball himself and beat players or pick out a teammate in space, in particular lead striker Óscar Cardozo. He has also proved effectively in unlocking teams, which try to park the bus with delicate lobs and chips into the penalty area. Perhaps his only major weakness is out and out pace but given his other qualities and the pace of teammates such as Ola John, this hasn’t proved to be much of a problem. The only other question is how Matič might perform over a full season in a more competitive and physical league such as the Premiership or the Bundesliga?

I didn't say he was slow I was just asking! Typically very tall players aren't blessed with lightning pace but there are exceptions obviously. The attached article isn't encouraging.

I agree, he can be long term replacement for Toure

Sorry mate, but there isn`t a player in the world that can be a replacement for Yaya. That is what makes him unique, never seen a player like him in the last 15-20 years in this game.

Apparently chelsea are back in for him:

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... anja-matic

Chelsea are to re-sign Nemanja Matic for an eye-catching fee of around £22m, a vastly inflated price from the valuation attached to the Serbia midfielder when he was allowed to leave and join Benfica three years ago.

Matic is due at Cobham on Tuesday to undertake a medical with the clubs close to agreeing a price for the 25-year-old, who has been capped nine times. The defensive midfielder had pushed for a return to Stamford Bridge after a hugely impressive spell in Lisbon, with the outlay to bring him back to England to fall well short of the £37m buy-out clause in the player's contract. He is expected to sign a contract to 2017.

Yet the fee remains remarkable given Chelsea had considered Matic to be only a makeweight in the deal which brought David Luiz from Benfica in the 2011 mid-winter window, the midfielder's valuation at the time being placed at around £3m. The vast difference will be partly offset by the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to Wolfsburg for around £18m, with that transfer finally to be concluded in the next 24 hours.

A bit mental to buy a player for 1.5 mil, sell them for 3 mil, then buy them back 3 years later for 22 mil!

But if chelsea do get a great defensive mid like him, it'll make them a good deal stronger. Along with striker, a holding mid is one of the only critical areas where they are weak.

García much improved as of late. El Conde has done a good job with a few of the fringe players actually.
