Swans of Wales

Right, so in CuteMancs absence I'll do another one of these ...
Some reasonable voices among the Swans fans ... they are worried with Michu as well as Dyer missing up front, they think they won't trouble us much at that end and with Vorm missing in goal, they are worried at that end as well. However some are buoyed by the returning Rangel and Routledge from injuries and also their record over us at Liberty Stadium since their return to Premier League is something they are banking on to continue ... some also think we really don't have any Away woes and whatever they were are long gone and sorted ... not many hopeful for a win though and hoping they can at least nick a draw.
Here are some reasonable voices ...
Away Team Selection
Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies, Britton, De Guzman, Pozuelo, Hernandez, Bony, Routledge.
My Favorite
At home then we have a chance but i wont put money on it.
And the Rest ...
City's away form isn't excellent, otherwise they'd be romping away with the title.
What do you all think the score will be this time do we stand a chance getting a pt, I would like to think we can but Im not to sure after yesterdays result vs Villa.
At home then we have a chance sure..... cardiff did it so why cant we.....
I'd like to think we could get a point at least. We need a reliable striker though, as we are sadly lacking up front. Too many injuries at the moment. Still might sneak a win, as this is the time of year when a few surprise results turn up.
It certainly is going to be tough be happy not for it to be a cricket score though a draw would be awesome but wouldnt be too gutted if we lost by 1 or 2.
We will get a point to of this, even fancy us pulling off a sneaky win.
If we play with confidence we can get a draw and I agree that a win isn't out of the question.
I would be delighted with a point. Neither Citeh or the Swans covered themselves with glory yesterday so it could be a surprise result. 0-0
My heart says swans win 1-0 but my head says man c 2-0. I'm not expecting a win but I would like to see us give them a real game!
We'll give them a game without doubt , the players will be down after throwing 3 points away yesterday and I'd like to think they'll want to make amends , we nobodies mugs and I exact a strong response .No side is unbeatable and theres been some strange results this season . I'd take a point now but why not 3
As long as we don't ship more than 3 goals I'll be happy, though we have been riding our luck for too long this season, think it will run out soon, hope it's not on Wednesday, as Citeh could easily put 6 past us!....................
The weather forecast for Wed is crap so that may well influence the outcome - I fancy us to nick a point in what I hope will be a close game
This is our problem this season scoring goals especially from our two main strikers, 4 from bony and 2 from michu is bottom of the class stats yet we are up the top with possession and up the top with passes....This is our problem and in one of the papers we have a C minus for the first half of the season and that is down from A minus the previous seasons...A huge turnaround is needed in the second half of the season if we are to avoid being in the relegation dog fight which is a lottery at the end of the season...
You've highlighted the problem perfectly Dai. 2 out of our top 3 attacking players are out injured, and the other one isn't 100% fit.
Well we are on a par with Chelsea's strikers with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba scoring just six goals in the PL between them!
I would be happy with a point.
City are not the same team away from home and Crystal Palace showed that their attack isn't the same without Aguero. Silva will be suspended as well,, which is good as he is in hot form. If we don't retreat into our shell while maintaining a solid defensive line, and actually give Bony some ****ing crosses like we did against Stoke, there is no reason why we can't get a point or more from this game unless City turn up in title winning mode.
Do not confuse realism with pessimism, I'm not saying we are doomed, but look at the fixture list over the last two months on the Swans web site, not many green bars there, matter of fact they are mostly red and amber? and it's not about if we have managed to score in games, it's about winning our games, and that means we score at least 1 more goal than the opposition, which we are not, that has to change as we enter the new year, it doesn't take much for the dressing room to get mentally fatigued once you start losing your games on a regular basis, and it can be one hell of a job to break it! And now comes City, the Man City, the ****ing Man City. I will be happy if we just keep goal difference low. Forget draw even the way we are playing and they way they are p;laying.
Last seasons Europa campaign was a killer for Newcastle which nearly saw them relegated
Under the circumstances I would've thought considering the obvious blip in form that is inevitable with a small inexperienced at top level squad,Swansea are coping fairly well on the whole. But against City you are right we dont stand a chance.
Yes by losing to us on Wednesday won't determine their fate but us losing will be slightly more important .Although we'll be slight underdogs for this one we could gain at least point .We're playing well enough to get something.
As for the score I'll say 1-1. We've done well against them at our place and given that they've had a few defeats on the road I think we have a chance of getting something.
