David Moyes the beleaguered manger of mid table club M.U.F.C. (excuse the language) has said he is prepared to transfer the former referee favourite. His disgraceful performance in not awarding a penalty in the game yesterday was the last straw said Moyes.We have suffered a string of setbacks this season when referees have not awarded us penalties, not awarded us extra time when we have needed it and in fact are treating us like other clubs in the league, its ridiculous. It seems even the press who have always loyally backed us are criticising us.

Moyes has instructed his scouts to look for other referees to sign and assures the clubs dwindling numbers of fans changes will be made that will restore their unfair advantages that applied when Sir Alex Baconface managed the club, pleading that they should not start following other clubs yet.

That's well crafted and funny but also true in so many ways.
What speaks most loudly about the situation is that the football world is so shocked that the scum didn't receive their usual preferential treatment in the doling out of refereeing decisions . . . and in a game reffed by webb who has earned himself a deserved reputation by openly kowtowing to his mate the piss-can for several years.

When was Howard Webb sold by United? I must have missed that move in the transfer window.

To be honest I thought it was one of those that often is not given as it's the keeper and the player had kicked the ball about 20 yards past (rightly or wrongly).

But whereas when you are good you dont have to worry about it because you win anyway, when you are worse you are desperate and cling to any straw.

I've always felt penalties are too lenient towards the attacking team in these circumstances.
Young had already taken the shot, even if Lloris clattered him, which he didn't it made no difference to the outcome and in no way prevented a goal scoring opportunity. How many times over the years have we seen Rooney knock the ball about 15 yards past the keeper, with no chance of keeping it in and then running straight into the keeper and being awarded a penalty?

They are used to getting penalties beyond the scope of actual football rules, & as they are in charge of documenting the history of football, the challenge on Young was indeed a penalty shout & will be referred to as such, forever.

I'm with you on that one. Without the old drunkard there to protect them, Young and wonderkid (whatever his name is) have shouted wolf too many times, and are now being treated accordingly.
I'm also wondering if there's some unannounced crackdown on diving going on, there seems a lot of appeals ignored and cards dished out recently.

Unless that player was Adnan Januzaj. Ashley has clearly taken the lad under his wing and to the diving board.

Young, Janujizz, wellshit and rooney in recent weeks. I think it's clear that they're under instruction to go down atthe slightest touch.

Doesn't give penalties for handball in the area either as Smalling will testify. Havent heard Gollum bring that up yet!!
