Good solid performance without a bunch of key players in the starting line up. Dominated the game and possession and it was just a matter of getting that first goal. Strange one too with a looping header from Izzy Christiansen. The second was important too and no suprise it was Georgia Stanway again with a strike from distance which just showed the confidence she has as well as ability.

Could be on for a double this season and then onto Europe

Good win for the women tonight. Jane Ross starting it all off with a superb header after 12 seconds!

Izzy and Bronze bagged from corners in either half. Scored more from set pieces last night than City have in about a decade.

The Corbs bullets one in from 25 yards.

Just 9 points from the last 18 available needed now

I don't know how many games they play a season. Playing each team twice would only give you 16 games, which seems a bit short.

City have three matches left according to the BBC, and two wins guarantees them the title. (One of the games is against second placed Chelsea).

A win and two draws would do it also.
As would just a win against Chelsea.

far from their best today but some credit to Reading for that. Not that they caused us too many ptoblems but they had a lot of energy and were very well organised. We did play quite well first half but just couldnt put the ball in the net with Jane Ross closest when she hit the bar.

Not a great suprise that our two goals were from set pieces. A long diagonal cross from the left headed home by Beattie. A bit soft but when you head back the way it came you always have a chance. The a direct free kick from Houghton to settle the nerves. The keeper didn't move but she should have!
