That's good news I think!?

If it's lower arm and not shoulder then he should be back a lot quicker. Dont you just need a special light cast and permission?

Maybe not Saturday though!

Whoops we're buggered. Anyone know any strikers who want an FA cup game or 2?

He would still out-muscle Dawson even if he only had one leg. Owned him in our 1st game, and if played, will do again. He is beast.

Very true. However, doubt he'll be risked. Aguero and Dzeko will hopefully not pick up injury or suspension v Watford so are likely to be first choice. He's due a rest anyway and judging Pellers reaction he didn't seem overly concerned, almost as if he wss thinking "no matter, he easn't going to play anyway"

Up 9-0 on aggregate he has to smash himself about like a fucking demolition derby. Only knows one way. Our Beast.

To be honest he dived. A touch of irony about it :(

The Beast does not dive, he pounces.

even if he is fit for Spurs id start him on the bench. we need him for Chelsea. Aguero and Dzeko can start vs. Spurs.

The beast does not care about injuries. He'll battle on.

Still can't believe we've got Negredo - he's absolutely magnificent and is the out and out centre-forward we've needed for years.

I think he's now overtaken David Silva as being my favourite City player in the current squad and I only wish he was about three or four years younger.

At some point in the future, when he's nearer to hanging up his boots, he's going to be virtually irreplaceable.

Must admit id not heard of him before the summer. Think West Ham wanted him which initially made me think he would be in the mould of Mido, Carlton Cole etc.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has played down injury fears over top scorer Alvaro Negredo while also admitting he would rotate his first-team squad over the next two weeks.

Spain striker Negredo's right arm was in a sling after City's 9-0 aggregate Capital One Cup semi-final defeat of West Ham in midweek.

And Pellegrini admitted he would not be ready for the club's FA Cup fourth-round visit of Watford to Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but revealed he should be back to fitness within a week.

The Chilean said: "Alvaro is not ready for Saturday. We will see in the next days how his shoulder reacts from the work he is doing. Maybe in a week he will be okay.

"David Silva has some problems. He is not 100 per cent fit. It is just a

precaution, we will not take any risks because he still has some pain in his

hamstring."

City are back in action again on Wednesday as they visit Tottenham in the

Premier League while they have another big encounter against title rivals

Chelsea looming on February 3.

And Pellegrini said: "We will see on Saturday how the 11 changes. We are going to make some changes. We have a lot of games during January.

"It is a very busy month and we will continue making rotations."

Pellegrini has consistently played down suggestions City could make a move in the January transfer window to add to a squad chasing silverware still on all four fronts.

He added: "If we talk about all the offers this club made we have at least eight goalkeepers, five centre-backs, nine forwards. No news for the moment."

It was a similar answer when asked about Joleon Lescott, the England centre-back who has been linked with a move to West Ham.

"Exactly the same - no news," Pellegrini said.
