Shall we get him a tissue?

Can't say I don't get a little joy in reading something like this:

Isco 'not happy' at Real Madrid

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/17119 ... id?cc=5739

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that 30 million euro summer signing Isco is unhappy at his limited playing time in recent months, but says the situation is unlikely to change any time soon.

The 21-year-old began his Madrid career in style, scoring on his full debut against Real Betis in August, before adding three more goals in his next five games.

However, the former Malaga player has rarely featured in recent months, with teammates such as Angel Di Maria, Luka Modric and Jese Rodriguez edging ahead of him in the pecking order.

Ancelotti claims publicly that Isco’s limited playing time is due to the team’s current 4-3-3 system not suiting his strengths, although the attacker’s poor work rate and stamina are also thought to be contributing factors

Fuck him. Lets see if he goes to World Cup now. Zero sympathy. He'll end up at someone like Sociedad in couple of years with likes of Guillem Ballague(?) asking where did it all go wrong

I'd still make a cheeky bid for him in the summer. especially if it turns out he wasn't Ancelotti's signing in the first place. The talent is there

Maybe we will get him at cut price in the close season

That's what people don't consider. They just seethe money, the club name, and the potential for silverware. They don't realize that there's a chance they'll be on the bench.

I don't really understand why people are so pleased with Isco struggling to get into the Real Madrid side.

A young Spanish lad gets a chance to play for Real Madrid - of course he's going to take it! It hasn't worked out for him but it was a dream opportunity which anyone in his position would have gone for.

If he's still as promising as he was a year ago, and taking into account the Spanish influence in our squad and management team, it wouldn't surprise me if we're still keeping tabs on him.

We should definitely make a bid next summer. He is still hugely talented and he has probably learnt to stick with the gaffer who trusted him.

No thank you. You must want to play for the club that shows an interest in you. Fernandinho springs to mind.
Very rag-like mentality to 'go for the name' if you ask me, and as the article stated, his work-rate has not been up to par. We are not desperate for the likes of his frivolous ass.

According to reports in one of the more reputable Spanish outlets last month Isco is "persona non grata" with Txiki and Manuel for reneging on his promise to join us. I'll be surprised if we go back in for him.

We probably should never have signed Clichy then. He wasn't too flattering about us before he joined.

That's what I would think. Shame really cos Silva and Nasri aren't getting any younger or fitter and Isco could have been long term. But if that's the way Txiki thinks I'm with him.

We are a big attraction now, there's other fish in the sea.

Agree with this 100%. Unless one of Nasri or Silva are leaving I wouldn't touch the guy; he had his chance, and chose elsewhere. Nothing greatly against him but I think there's other areas we need to focus on rather than him - centre half and cent midf for a starters.

You can guarantee Marca and AS will run a story of Isco being packaged in an offer to us for Aguero before seasons end.

To be fair if we signed him would he have got much game time? At the time everyone 'hated' nasri and no one knew the turn around we would see in him. Considering our injuries though he could have filled in. He did look class.

I wouldn't imagine we'd go back for him. However, if he made the first move and admitted his mistake, I'm sure our stance would soften.

Personally not seen enough of him to say whether he's what we need or not, but if we let a young footballer doing something daft get in the way of our signings, we're going to be lucky to get 11 on the pitch.

If the club think he's good enough to make a difference, we should be interested

Exactly. Look at him now. Half-arsed half of the time. Could it be because of his motives for joining? As I said, you gotta have a real passion for the club, or else the cracks will eventually show.

July 25th 2009: “I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City,” said Clichy. “You have to think if you want to play for a big club and have your image or if you want to play for a good club and earn big money. When you ask someone to move for something like £300,000 a week it is just crazy.”

July 4th 2011: “I’m really happy to be joining such a great club,” said Clichy. “I hope I can add to the quality we already have here because we have a fantastic squad who I believe will continue to get better. I can’t wait to get started and I think anything is possible with this team.”

Isco is not the type of player we need now imo.

We should be looking for attacking players who are also good at pressing the ball when we lose it, unless the player available is a one off genius of Ronaldo or Messi level; which Isco isn't.

a Spanish player rejects us for Real Madrid, no big deal and no bad blood, make a bid for him in the summer and put him out of his misery, how we'd love to be able to call upon him now
