Pellers, for the love of god play him will you? Every manager has their kind of players and some don't fit, but please look past that for the sake of someone that actually defends.
That is all.

Look at his post match interview on the OS. Seems quite upset and resigned to the fact he's leaving at the end of the season.
Superb defender. Better than DM and better than Nastasic. He's like a magnet to the ball, tonight he was everywhere, making blocks, interceptions and winning headers. Give him a run of games to get some sharpness, rather than throwing him in once every 3 weeks.

I think his performances are proof that he is without doubt the best option beside Kompany. It may not always look pretty but it's blatantly obvious he can defend better than any of the other options.I hope Pellers sticks with him for Tuesday.
Just wanted to add that his goal was not offside, should have been 3

I'm pretty sure Joleon will be dropped for the Barca game in favour of Demichelis. MP favours him though I don't know why. Is it a blind spot? I watch us every week and have never thought we are better off with Demichelis. Is MP missing something that is blatantly obvious?

Seems odd we are to see him leave, he is better than nasty and demichellis who was brought in as a stopgap, hope were getting some exceptional players to replace the two mentioned above and Lescott should be found a place as a good back up.

The situation with lescott is baffling as with Barry, plenty to offer and being shafted for inferior players IMO. We had the championship winning defence back(you could argue Micah) and we looked more solid than we have all season it's no coincidence.
must be hard the take for him, especially in a world cup year,he should be starting for city n England and isn't, it must kill him.
On a side note. Im not a fan of that northern Irish girl from city tv, did she keep calling him Julian? Aside from that just don't like her at all.

Agreed. Dunno why we won't just do the obv with him and Vince. Too smart for his own good the Count.

Whatever anyone thinks of the positives and negatives of Lescott, Kompany plays better with him than anyone else. At the start of a season, you can play about with new partnerships and hope they develop for the future. At this stage, we just need results, not to build for next season.
If he plays Lescott and Kompany every game, I'd predict we'd have the best defensive record in the league by May, enough to win us the league. And I don't think it'd cost us in any of the cups, even the CL.

Really? I thought he looked average today and quite nervous at times. May be a lack of game time I suppose but I put the more solid defence today down to tactics rather than the central pairing.
Happy to see him get some more game time though.

Yeah it's baffling, he does the things you'd expect a defender to do and he does it well. Somehow RM and PM see it otherwise.

DM is fucking shit compared. At first I thought it was orders from above to replace lescott but now pellers is playing and older worse defender so it does not make sense.
When we play Nasti or DM we never look comfortable at the back and its got to a point where it is frustrating to see. Pellers is great but why does he insist on playing shit at the back. If we lose games because of those two muppets nasti and DM and it costs us trophies its no one to blame besides the manager. Neither of them would make it in any of the top 4 teams in each of Europe's top leagues so do we settle for it.

Just putting this out their
Considering the joke that is the rags defence it could be quite possible that moyes will be sniffing around considering he will be on a free.
Lescott wouldn't, would he?

I think MP thinks Demi brings something different to corners and set pieces ... Joleon was desperately unlucky not to score ... maybe if he had ...?
