Nasri's was world class ,but I cant get the image of Yaya's goal out of my head so that's my choice like someone said earlier we are so lucky to have players of this world class quality

You won't see many like Yaya's. Nasris' was a thing of beauty but Yaya's is more memorable

Two very different goals and both of beauty. However, one of them broke the deadlock that we all were worrying about being unbroke. So, for me, Yaya was the key.

Yaya, all day long for me.
Samir's was great and that won't often be the second best goal in a game but Yaya's was on another level completely.
Just everything about it, the way he taps the ball and gets so much power on it, the way he fooled everyone. It was possibly the greatest long range goal I've ever seen.
As someone said in another thread, anyone can whack a ball or volley from distance but you need a bit of luck and 9/10 times it will end up in the stands.
Yaya placed it from 30 yards out right into the top corner.

Plus, as Beefy said context should come into it. Yaya's was the more important of the two as it got us going.

Oh fucking hell Mike you missed them both. Been there done it and gutted when it happens but at the final I think I'd have cried like a baby. Feel for you mate.

I think Yayas was a masterpiece and Samirs was a classic.

Oh, and in answer to the question, Yaya's can't stop watching it soon as he hit it yesterday I just knew it was going in. Nasri's was class too without any doubt but yaya pips it.

Yaya. Nasri's goal was mint and superbly taken but he could do that again as could a few other players.

Yayas will unlikely be repeated. It is just one of those goals that defy logic and belief

I'd have happily missed all the goals if it meant i wasn't going home after a loss again! :-)

Don't worry, I've had a quiet word with Yaya, and contrary to the post above, he will repeat the goal against Wigan, if you can give him a time during the game when you definitely won't be in the loo.

A much closer call than you suggest, in fact so much so I'm just going to give it to Nasri. Like Yaya's it was instinctive, like Yaya's it was precision with power, like Yaya's it was absolute class and a difficult skill to execute.

The difference is the build up. Kolorav starts the move with a nod back to Panti, who wastes no time with a precise long ball to pick out Aguero deep inside sunderlands half, his touch is sublime, he turns and brings, Kolorav into play picking out his surging run down the left flank. His low cross into the danger area (courtesy of a little nick off a defender) finds Nasri and the rest....

The fact that they came within 90 seconds of each other surpasses everything else ... a minute ago we were losing 1-0 and two minutes later we were winning 2-1 ... that's what mattered, and that was the thing of beauty ... one on top of another, bang, bang ...

I am surprised no one here (or in the media) has made a reference to being 2-1 down in the QPR game and then 90 second turn around to get two goals and bang, we were winning ...

We are kind of developing a turnaround specialists nature ... not just needing one goal to turn things but two and even that seems to be doable by us ... now on in sure when we are 1 down or needing two goals to take a game to a replay it extra time or pens, we'd be reminded of these ... oh yeah, remember QPR, remember that Cup Final ... sure they can score two within a minute or so ...

Nasri's, which he strikes on the up, on the half volley and also on the dead run - he never broke stride - whilst also bending it in beautifully. He made a very difficult skill look like something off the training ground.

Ya Ya's was utterly superb, but Nasri's goal coming less than 2 mins later and in the fashion it was scored, was the dagger to Sunderland. Fookin loved em both.

In terms of a team goal then yes Nasri's better.
But I'm talking about which was the better strike.
Both amazing technique but Yaya's was further out and deceived everyone.
Samir's was wonderful but you'll see a few of those scored, I don't think I've ever seen one like the one Yaya scored.
Honestly never, he passed the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out.

Nasri's was a great strike to finish off a great team move, Yaya's was arguably the best long range goal I've ever seen. It was that good.

Yaya's for me; if only for its sheer audacity. And his nonchalance.
And I'd swear that his boot caressed the ball before dispatching it; kinda like 'Brief Encounter'
A work of Art
