He's obviously targeted City as his main threat in his this round at Chelsea and all his focus is going to be on us, just as it has been so far ...
I just am not sure it is a good idea for us to engage with him at any level ... till Pellegrini was quiet and not replying to him, he was great and then he decided to take him on and we all know what happened then ...
As I said in an earlier thread too, you play with the pig then you'll get mud on you too, only difference is pig actually likes it ...
Now Kompany is engaging with him ... not a good idea in my opinion, just let him blabber on his own ...
Kompany laughs off mind games
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's mind games won't affect the Premier League title race.
Mourinho has tried to increase the pressure on City, but Kompany believes any side in the top four can win it.
Chelsea have a four-point lead over second-placed Liverpool, with City fourth in the table, six points off the lead.
Mourinho's men could extend their advantage to nine points this weekend as City play Wigan in the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Portuguese manager claims Manuel Pellegrini's side are favourites for the title because they have two games in hand and "destiny in their hands."
Kompany, however, has laughed off Mourinho's claims and says he's not bothered by what opposition managers have to say.
"It's very simple in football, the winner is always right and the loser is always wrong," Kompany told Sky Sports.
"Unless a manager puts on his football boots and starts playing as a striker, I'm never really worried about what they can say."
"As I say, there are four teams and Liverpool is one that can win it as well. Maybe City and Chelsea have a slight edge, but then again Liverpool have just as much momentum."
"Arsenal will probably get the momentum back again when they win again, so it's a good league for the neutrals. I think it will be tight until the end."
I fully expect Jose to be brining up something along the line of Kompany asking him to put on boots and play as a striker ... and all his I have no strikers bullshit ... and of course Pellegrini calling us United at some point in this coming week ... even though we neither play him nor do we even have a PL game ...

The only people who don't realise that, are Chelsea fans, & his arse licking mates in the media. If Sir Bacon was still around & he tried the same tricks as he is trying re City, the press would eat him alive. Right now, he has a free pass.
He is of course a top manager & a worthy adversary at present, who could, if things fall in his lap, succeed this season; his act however, is about as impressive & controversial as Bruce Forsythe.
It may work for this season, perhaps even the next, but soon enough it will wear off & he will have to move on because his motivational tricks will no longer work & he won't have anything else to add. Just like Keegan.

He's a media whore. Always has been and always will be. You stick a microphone in front of him and he will say something.

Totally agree with that. 1st time around I didn't mind him but now I just want to stamp on his head, total gobshite and proper boring.

It's so disappointing to hear fans saying his mind games are scary and we "shouldn't engage" them.
Mind games work on referees, as has already been confirmed. Keegan and rafa lost it in the press because of tedious repetitive shit from rahser head. Newcastle may have bottled it in general, but liverpool were never gonna win that league.... and now it's wrtten that the reason the rags won was mind games. Please.
Chelsea might win the league, but wenger got it bang on - all this shit is so that the spoilt cunt can say he was right either way and anyone who can't see that needs to give their head a good wobble. It serves no other purpose.

Whilst I didn't want him managing us (or the rags), I did want him back, as he was entertaining. However, this version is like a shit parody account.

He's an odious sociopath. The southern press love him because they, like him, crawl along in the gutter scattering shit everywhere.

The main reason people (in our case anyway) are getting miffed with Maureen is because the first time around he wasn't even aware of little old City. For me he is exactly the same as he was last time, a clever manager who takes the heat off his players by trolling his rivals. City this time round are one of his rivals!!

I always thought he was an odious cretin. What winds me up though is the press sycophancy, or licking if you prefer.

When he first came over here, he used to come up with the occasional one liner, often delivered with an obvious sense of humour. (But kissed Ferguson's arse as he is a coward)
There was no humour in his recent attack on Wenger; it was someone who was angry that his opponent had seen through his facade & told the media exactly what he was doing. He didn't like it & he delivered a nasty, personal attack which showed everyone his true colours.
He is trying to recreate his act from last time, but nowardays his comments are spiteful & boring rather than witty & original.
We've seen his act now, & he has no new material.

I don't think he was particularly witty or original before tbh. Calling Wenger a voyeur wasnt exactly a nice thing to say of a fellow manager last time he was Chelsea manager. Either way, his manner, in the main, takes the heat off the players and like Ferguson, althou generally disliked, will be adored and a winner with his own clubs. Its hard but City, manager and players should try not to respond as generally this backfires and the cent gets what he wants.

Sometimes, when the press actually start peddling his his bulshit as fact, I think we have little choice but to respond, as otherwise the mud sticks.
But although he occasionally sunk to the bottom of the barrel in his previous stint, I think it was getting worse as things started to get on top of him & soon after, he left.
He was uncomfortable at Madrid, looked miserable & was putting on weight. He thought it would all change when he came 'home' but I recon the pressure is still there & he is not as content or comfortable as he thought he would be. That's why Wenger's comments annoyed him so much imo. It was the truth, he is trying to take pressure off himself.
He is not so 'in control' as he pretends to be.

I think it's a very balanced response by Vinnie, a clever little dig too that wont be picked up by everyone but certainly by maureen.
Agree with Ted and pretty much everyone - his babbling is old news now, dull and boring. He's starting to see his ever so faithful lapdog journo's spying on him and having the audacity to report it. Like in Spain his best-before date will start to expire pretty quickly - he's no longer worshiped as the messiah by anyone other than the chavs.
Oh and he's a twat
