O'Brien will be 19yo next season, can't stay in the youth team forever.

Why would he move to be a number 2 anywhere?

I never thought Schmeichel Junior was very good at crosses; has he improved this aspect of his game ??

he will be 1st choice at a premier league club next season. Has made a decent career since he left us, better than sitting on his arse as second choice for us.
He looks a lot stronger since he left us, still capable of a brain fart though but solid.

yep no point for him to move now. I'll be interested to see how he does in Prem with Leicester next year.
Also, I quite liked him when he came through, saved that peno at Arsenal etc. but that ship has sailed. If Panty goes, let's move on and find the replacement elsewhere

he is out of contract at the end of the season, will be interesting to see where he ends up. He is 27 now, how time flies eh!

We could do a lot worse than to get Shay Given back as second choice, other than his silly wages of course. he is third choice at villa due to his high wages but went on loan recently to Middlesboro and kept a shit load of clean sheets. He is old but if he can settle for a second choice role he would be perfect.

Extremely difficult call. We need someone good enough to attempt to threaten Joe's position but also be happy in the understanding that they are here as number 2.
A minor country's international goalie is ideal, which is what we already have.
No point in getting Valdes, he's not really going to be much better than Hart and if we did sign him, Hart would be off after 6 months.
I hope we have someone talented enough in the EDS/Youth Team to step up.

Why would he come be second choice when he is likely to be first choice for a Premier League team next season? Fair play to him. After leaving us he's really worked his way through the leagues and now looks to be a good, solid goalkeeper.

didn't know that, thanks for the info. I wonder if it's down to him or the club. It wouldn't be the first time that newly promoted club signs a new keeper. that would be harsh on Kasper as in the couple of games I've seen him this season he hasn't done much wrong

Good call. Although how has Given's form been of late?

Fulop has been taking a break from football after having a tumour removed, maybe he would consider himself ready to come back after the summer?

You would think that at this stage of his career and the lack of first team football in the past few years he would rather play in the Championship than be 2nd choice for us.
I was a huge fan of his at Newcastle, but was slightly disappointed with what we got when I saw him week in week out. The last time I saw him play was in Euro 2012 and he looked a shadow of the keeper he was five years ago.
The only way I would be pleased to see him back at City is as a coach/third choice. Good bloke by all account.

Kasper has had a lot better of a career than most of us thought he would. He will play in the Premiership next season more than likely and be a very busy boy which is never a bad thing for a keeper for a big move.
Why would he want to move to us given he has already moved from us once to get first team football. He would just be another Johnston, Sinclair, Rodwell.
