Lack Of Goals From Our Triumvirate Of Strikers

We have now gone 7 games without a goal from Aguero, Negredo or Dzeko, it is in fact 667 minutes since any of our top 3 strikers popped it in the onion bag.

Dzeko and Aguero haven't scored since January 29th and you have to go back to 21st January for the last goal from Negredo.

It is great that we have goals from midfield but I am concerned by the lack of goals from our main spearhead, especially considering the way they were banging them in during the first half of the season!

Seems like our wingers, corner takers, free kickers and midfield need to pull their socks up!

Joking of course.

However some were bitching about Negs on Sunday being quiet. However the service to the attackers was very poor.

I'm not overly worried about Aguero as he's just coming back from injury.
I'm not even overly worried about Dzeko as although he's been missing everything, he's still been getting in the right positions and sooner or later they'll start to drop in for him.
I'm mostly worried about Negredo who is hiding in games and not looking interested.

I've said it before but it's at times like these when we most need the likes of Yaya, Nasri and Silva to start chipping in with goals. Toure and Nasri are, Silva hasn't.

This is why we are now playing catch up. I know all strikers have bad times, but all at once?

Nice use of the word triumvirate though.

No wonder you're kicking my arse on words with friends.

I wonder which of our strikers is seen to be akin to the original members of the Triumvirate ??

Perhaps Aguero is the equivalent of Julius Caesar.

Interesting.

However, I'd probably say Dzeko would be Marcus Crassus and Negredo would be Pompey.

But then that's just me being ridiculous.

Should we replace the cup final countdown clock with a similar rolling clock until one of these actually finds the net?

Thanks, Zurich old chum.

You're obviously a latin scholar of the first order.

Manchester City didn't ruin my life. Monty Python did.
