Spot on fella. Kompany is a colossus and a gentleman. We just need to find him a worthy partner

I'm convinced he is one of the best players in the world. Probably third at this point.

I thought we all agreed that that was Gareth Bale?

At his best, he is the best.

Much as though Kompany loves us, is anyone else a tad worried he might be getting pissed off with the rest of the defence around him? A player of his calibre who will light up the World cup will be in demand and can the unthinkable happen?

Oh and in answer to the question. Not only is he City's best ever captain, he for me, is the best in England right now. Articulate, commanding, leads by example, fighter, never gives up, gracious, (remember cup final last year when he made rest of players stay and applaud Wigan.Class), loves the club.

Capable of some truly world class performances but this last couple of seasons errors and howlers have started to creep into his game more.
Played great tonight though.

I think his howlers are because he can't rely on his CB partners if he had another top class CB along side him he would be even better imo.

I think he would rather play with Lescott in te Premier League than the others & will want a proper partner bringing in for next season, who is good at both Prem & Champs League level. Otherwise, this time next year, he may see his arse.
I would not accept any more Boatengs Savics & Nastasics as our main cb signings if I was Vinny.
If we have to sell a player & pay 50 mil for a truly excellent cb, then so be it.

Kompany is shit! Doesn't get enough goals for me. Give me big Andy Morrison any day!! I also reckon Andy could out drink Vinnie and would be a lot handier when it goes off in a Kebab shop.

I'm not surprised by what he did today because these cynical fouls have been creeping into his game for a few years now.
I remember him wrestling a Wolves player to the ground a few weeks ago and he'll often pull his man down with no intention of getting the ball and picks up a fair few yellows.
You could call it 'taking one for the team' but it's something I'd like to see him cut out of his game.
Demichellis today was outstanding. Looked like a man with a point to prove and held the defensive line really well.
Could he do a Garcia?!

How many games will he actually be suspended for?
There seems to be some confusion. I thought a straight red meant a 3 game ban. Is this still true for bringing down the last man or is there another ruling?

3 game ban is only for serious foul play

For me, it's got to be Skip. Just.
But would he manage to deal with the media with tact and diplomacy? Not while he's got a hole in his arse.
