Putting it all in perspective!

Postby city9_4eva » Wed Mar 12, 2014 9:52 pm

Just received a message from a rag fan just saying 'wuheyyyy'

I thought brilliant, awesome banter! Typical of them pricks! Just put back, we are one cb short of domination, in the meantime we shall continue to watch you fall!

No word of a lie his response: 'Wuheyyy (again brilliant) seeing Wigan knock you out the FA cup and now tonight makes me as happy as winning the league!

LOL!! How scared are these fuckers of us!!? As happy as winning the league!? Really shows how far we've come!! We've arrived boys!! WE ARE NOT WERE NOT REALLY HERE........!!!

Belittle them. A true fan is more focused on his own club winning than what others are doing. Very bitter red. Enjoy thursday night football.

We've been taking the piss out of them all season. They take the piss when we lose.
It's a bit of banter. It's always been that way. I'm not sure what perspective that puts on anything.

Perspective: for all the bollocks about Demichelis etc, if Messi plays both games for City we win both games without even breaking sweat.

Had we attacked them first leg, we probably would have beaten them, even with Messi.

I do think we got it all wrong with the team and tactics in that first leg.I can see why he went with the team he did but to stand and watch them play was just totally wrong.

Perspective - pissing away that FA Cup tie to a no mark team was far more damaging and foolhardy than anything that happened tonight.

We saw how utterly hopeless Piquet & Mascherano are when Dzeko & Fernandinho got into them. Pressure on them, with our crowd behind the team, & I recon we could have torn them apart.

Pellegrini bottled it imo & the team followed. Much better tonight, but a big ask to turn that around at the Nou Camp.

Tonight was probably our best ever performance in Europe, taking into account the circumstances & the opposition.

We are actually better than that, but even so, with several players being off the boil, we still played a better game there than most Prem teams have ever done. We could have parked the bus for two games & fluked it, like Chelsea, but we had a go & on another night may have won.

Hopefully with that, & the Bayern tie, we have now learned a bit & will start to perform a bit better at home v that level of team.

We just cannot score goals for love or money at the moment. Not sure what the problem is but i suspect that we're over confident and Lady luck is not on our side
I'm sorry but tonight is just not good enough. We were admitting defeat early in the evening.
