Possibly been discussed here before but surely Pellegrini should take the blame for Demichelis? The guy is what he is. Find the thread about him signing on here and I bet loads of people were weary of his lack of pace and application before he kicked (or tried to run after) a ball. It's hard to get mad at the man himself, his inept displays are no less than what was to be expected.

Yep, I even posted a video of him being shit last season & helping Dortmund knock Malaga out of the Champions League.

For Argentina, he was actually much worse .

BUT, I know why the Count has gambled on him. If he had been playing instead of Lescott, Barca wouldn't have scored that 2nd goal; he would have already charged out & closed it down. Count wants a different method & JL/Nasty struggle with it (as do Zabba, Micah, Clichy, Kolarov & Vinny.) Demichelis would have stopped that though.

But that would be after giving away another 3 goals by trying it & missing at the halfway line.
