I think city have pulled rabbit out of the hat for this game!!
Agent clattenberg has volunteered to ref the game, which means we stand a chance if going on the 1-6 at the swamp, he was a decent ref that day.
Wishful thinking but you may never know ;-)

if we score first, i think the pressure and tension will get to the crowd and hopefully their players and we could take full advantage.
come on city.

From the Beeb:
TEAM NEWS
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is expected to be fit for Sunday's Premier League game at title rivals Liverpool despite leaving training early on Saturday as a precaution.
Top scorer Sergio Aguero (hamstring) is set to feature after five games out.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers must decide whether to stick with Mamadou Sakho at centre-back or recall Daniel Agger following a knee problem.
Defender Jose Enrique remains out, but Joe Allen could return in midfield.
MATCH PREVIEW
As if it isn't always, Anfield will be a very special place to be on Sunday. Two days before the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough, all present - red and blue - will pay their respects as only the football family can to 96 members of our family who will never be forgotten.
Then, at seven minutes after the originally scheduled kick-off time - a fabulous countrywide gesture this weekend, a game worthy of the highest emotions will start.
In the stands and on the field it will be full of passion and could be pivotal, but with a month of the season to go we can't call it decisive. Especially not with Chelsea going to Anfield next.
It's remarkable that both teams go into the game as masters of their own destiny with regards to winning the title. Only a Liverpool win will keep it that way for them, whilst City could draw and still (in theory) have control.
Brendan Rodgers has done a superb job of taking the pressure off his side all season, and even as it ramps up to new levels he has insisted that they'll "just try to enjoy" what is surely the biggest league game Liverpool have played in years.
There's been lots TO enjoy lately, with the Reds on a run of nine Premier League wins in a row and 14 unbeaten - scoring 46 goals along the way.
Even though they've been overtaken by Liverpool (90 plays 84), City are of course good for a few goals themselves, with last week's win over Southampton being the 16th time this season that they've scored four or more in a game.
The controversial second against Saints led to suggestions from some that they've been lucky of late with a decision or two. I would say that losing only one of their last 20 league games is little to do with luck overall - and who HASN'T won a title without a bit anyway?
The game, the noise, the (inevitable?) goals - I can't wait. It's the game of the season - so far.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
•Manchester City are unbeaten in their last five league games against Liverpool (W2, D3).
•Liverpool have lost only once in 16 Premier League games at home to City (W10, D5) - a 2-1 defeat in 2003.
•The two clubs have scored 92 first-half goals between them: Liverpool 55, Manchester City 37. The next highest is Chelsea with 28.
Liverpool
•The Reds are unbeaten in their last 14 Premier League matches, winning the last nine. They have score 46 goals during this unbeaten period, an average of 3.2 goals per game.

•Brendan Rodgers' side have won all four home meetings with fellow members of the top seven so far this season, scoring 14 and conceding just once.

•Rodgers' side have failed to score in just two of their 33 league matches.
•Steven Gerrard has provided a league-high seven assists from dead-ball situations this season.
Manchester City

Amen to that, sick and tired of the sycophantic meeja wanking over the only team never to have bought a player.
Total respect for the 96 but you never see LFC commemorating the 32 Juve fans who died as a result of the scouse rags getting it on or the 14 charged with manslaughter.
Hypocritical fucking double standards

I've just done a long rant about the bollox being spouted by Brenda that they're doing it the right way (accidentally deleted). Just to say it dispells the shit being spouted and pointed to their last game against us where all but 1 player was bought, not nurtured, as they'd like you to think. The fact that they've continually spent over 60 million on average in the last 10 seasons and that Rogers himself has spent 100 million in the 2 seasons he's been there.
Fucking hypocritical is fucking right and now that the day is here, I hope we go out and do it 'The Right Way', on the pitch, playing a game of football.
Not by using a tragedy to spur us on.
Not by using a tragedy to sell merchandise.
Not by using every media influence to get an upper hand.
And definately not by talking the fans into a frenzy that could lead to problems after the game.
Let's do it the 'Right Way' Blues. Support our team, recognise the moment, then get on with the fucking game.
Come On City!!!

Now, this is where I'm a little perturbed. Blues should know that it's never too early to start drinking. My only thought at the moment is to what to go for.
Stella, Warsteiner, a nice wheat beer, or a glass of wine to get the party started, relaxing before the game?

Clattenburg will have to be strong today and from recent games where the crowd have been on his back, he's been strong.
Definately keeps to orders that one.

Was sent a link to RAWK earlier - never seen a set of opposing fans so confident about a match against City (not even in the Pearce years).
I guess 9 on the bounce, great football and the possibility of a Gerrard swansong will do that. Not sure what to make of it.

I had a look at that site a couple of years back and I'm not sure if any of them have actually set foot in their stadium. They all seem to be glory-hunters and have the same mentality as the Rags - self-entitlement at it's fullest.
OH MY GOD!!! Breaking news:
All the pundits on Sunday Supplement have tipped the Dippers to win.
After bigging them up for a hour then I'd never have guessed they'd come to that conclusion. Sorry, did I say a hour, these are the cunts that have been bigging them up all season, in their daily spreads.
CUNTS!

The Kompany injury (slight) might have been a blessing in disguise ... now Pellegrini might want to beef up that midfield and play a third player in there alongside Yaya/Ferdy like Garcia or even Milner to give some cover to Komps at the back and not over expose our defence ... so ideally play out:
Hart
Zaba - Komps - Demi - Clichy
Garcia
Nasri - Yaya - Fredy - Silva
Aguero
Then bring on Navas and/or Dzeko/Beast towards the end when are have tired out ...

That's the reason the scouse fans hate him...... They honestly don't know they shout 'penalty' at ANY game.
Was having a couple pints with my best mate, watching the arse game yesterday, every time Wigan player went down remotely anywhere near the box 'penalty' he has been like this for the last 30 years and simply doesn't realise he's doing it...
So I showed him that picture someone put on the mcfnet FB page yesterday of the Liverpool pet shop, he laughed.... Went quite for a while and started again and I just laughed.
All his family do it, as do any other game going scouser's that I know.

The way they feign injury and go down without a touch over the last couple of seasons it's now become habit for them to shout for every single thing - they must spend most of the game doing it.
My question would be 'When will it start?'. Will it be right from the off to get our players booked or will it be at the end when they are chasing/needing to close out the game? It will be down to the ref to be strong and not go with the crowd and if he does it early then I can see the game being taken out of our hands.
To be fair to Clattenburg, for me he's been one of the better ref's this year and has come on leaps and bounds - maybe a turning point last season with all the goings on. He's not been bad with us over the last couple of seasons either. There's been a few dubious decisions, as with all ref's, but I don't think we've lost a game with him in charge since the Chelsea game in the title winning season. He was also there for the 6-1.
Admittedly, he's probably got a similar record for the Dippers and was in-charge of the their recent win over the Rags but I had no issues with the penalty's given. In fact, it made me very happy.

Just making a sausage butty and thought I'd look up how the Dippers have got on in thier games preceeding the Hillsborough tragedy date (15 Apr) and they've not lost a game for the last 10 years. The last team to beat them was Charlton and I think they only lost 2 games out of 20 either side of the date.
Saying that, the last time we played them prior to this date, it ended 0-0, about 8 years ago.
Not all bad then.

About to head into the Piggy. 30 blues and the dipper supporters club are predicting over 200. We'll be vocal, we'll be staunch.
