Manchester City fans 'shocked and shaken' after alleged attack by Liverpool supporters
Supporters' coach is attacked on way to Anfield by rival fans throwing stones and bricks before Man City's 3-2 Premier League defeat to Liverpool

Manchester City supporters travelling to Liverpool on Sunday were left "shaken" after a window was smashed on their coach while approaching Anfield by rival fans throwing stones and bricks.

The 25-seater minibus, carrying the Eccles Branch of the City supporters club, was travelling towards the Kop end of the stadium when a side window was shattered by missiles.

Passengers on the bus, who informed City officials that the missiles were thrown by supporters wearing Liverpool shirts, escaped without serious injury, but were described as shocked and shaken by club officials.

The incident was reported to Merseyside Police.

First time in decades that Liverpool play City in a title challenge. I was at the last one & guess what, the fucking coach had no windows in it BEFORE tHE GAME. What followed got much worse.

Had we won, there's a fair chance quite a few would have been introduced to what football was like during the 70s.

I'm still wondering if they'll make a big deal of the 30th anniversary of Heysel next year.

End of may ? Usually the season is over for them so they can conveniently forget the 600 injured and over 50 deaths , ( i think).

My bad. However, if we do play them last match of the season we will get the inevitable build up as Talkshite, 5 Live and other media outlets become Radio Merseyside and the Echo for what seems like an eternity!!

Well, that was hidden away amidst the Liverpool wankfest, wasn't it? I suppose news of their persistently violent fans, still threatening people with serious injury after all these decades, doesn't fit in with the current status of Liverpool as swashbuckling pirates reclaiming their bounty from the Evil Empire, City, led by dashing captain Stevie "Fifty yards and out of play" Gerrard.

Once interviewed a Liverpool lady for a PI claim who had a brain injured son following a car accident. Normally there is a claim for loss of earnings. Only prob was at 30 he had never had a job other than duckin and diving. Never mind, there was a massive extended family with loads of brothers and cousins, surely someone must have a proper job, they can't all be dottin on and cash in handing. Not a fuckin one!

Had a couple of Liverpool fans come over to me today, we've always shared the banter and they're scousers, and apologised on behalf of LFC about the trouble towards City fans. Was obviously embarrassed - they're not all bad.

Have had to dress one down though after he shared some shite about Silva throwing off his armband cos he knew we'd lose the game - it was quite obvious that it had cone loose after clashing with Flanagan and he dropped it to the side of the pitch - at around 39 mins so hardly at a time when we'd lost it.

So there are some fucking twats too.

Oh and the bandwagon jumpers have started - got one on my FB that didn't like football u til xmas!
