While I was watching Manchester City against West Brom on Monday, I just got the feeling that they know they cannot win the league.
The noises coming out of the club might be that they are still in it and that every game counts but I think City know the game is up, and their defeat at Anfield was the end of their chances.
If the City players are sitting in the dressing room before this game and news comes through that Liverpool have just beaten Chelsea, then it really will be all over for them.
Regardless, I really do not fancy Manuel Pellegrini's men to win at Palace, especially with David Silva set to miss out and Yaya Toure another injury doubt.
Take those two out of City's team and they are missing a massive chunk of their side against a Palace team who are on a huge high after winning five games in a row.
You can guarantee that Eagles boss Tony Pulis will not be congratulating his players for their run of form or telling them to go out and enjoy themselves in front of their fans now they are safe from relegation.
It will be nothing like that. Palace play some good football but his instructions will be the same as they always are - let's steam into this lot and give them a real game.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1
Merson goes for 1-2 to City

This is a Catch-22 call as well because if Liverpool win then Man City will go out there thinking it's all over. I'm sure Manuel Pellegrini would rather have played first and if Liverpool win then I could see this being quite open. Palace are safe and we could see both teams going out and playing with freedom, not worrying too much about if they win or not. I actually think Man City will end up winning the game - and then hoping that Crystal Palace can do them a big favour against Liverpool, which would not be a huge shock given the way Tony Pulis' men are playing.
PAUL PREDICTS: 1-2
