The view from the [strike]Away[/strike] Home End

I do hate it when work gets in the way of City....sorry this is late again !

Scouse 2 fans are torn between wanting a home win, and not wanting the dippers to progress. It goes without saying that only a win is acceptable.

COME ON CITY !!!

Team Selection

------Howard------
Coleman--Stones--Jags--Baines
         McCarthy--Barry
McGeady---Osman---Gerard
                --Lukaku--

My Favourite

AGUEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the rest ...

I'am confident we can secure 5th place by beating Hull,so for me it's 'COME ON CITY' !!

Realistically, we need to take points off City to be sure of European footie next season and, if we do that, the title probably goes to Liverpool.

I don't think Martinez will play 3 at the back.  He will play the same formation but with Jags and Stones instead of Alcaraz.  I think he will start with Osman instead of Barkley also.

This is a must win game, I don't really care about Liverpool.  Like you said I would rather us guarantee some sort of European football next season.  Whether it be Europa or Champions league.

Martinez reckons Jags will be back and rates Distin being back at 50/50.

t's probably not an exaggeration to say that this game will probably be the decider in you qualifying for Europe or not, as well as deciding the destination of the title. I wouldn't bet any money on this one as all three results are about as likely as each other, imo

We only need a point from our last two games to be certain of Europa.

I have a feeling we will do city 3-1 Naismith,Barkley and Baines

Everton 3-1 City

....talk about our fans doing the Poznan if they score. For me that type of action is premature, City will lose one at home & we will be Poznaned against for eternity. It aint over till its over, especially where those lot are concerned.

To be honest I just hope it's not a draw: win, 3 points and 5th pretty much guaranteed with 4th a slight chance; lose, city have the way cleared to deny the kopites and guarantee our mental well-being for a few years with no crap films made by kopite luvvies about them spawning the title getting made a couple of years from now.

You just know city will beat us, then go on to fall apart and those lot will still win the league. I'm in agony here lads. How does fate contrive to make it so hard to be an Evertonian?

Can't see anything but us winning It's such an Everton thing to do..

City will blow us away, not even close this one for me.

My heart says Everton - of course.. but we all know the score and how disappointing it will be to practically gift wrap the title to THEM.

If City can't overcome their Goodison, Merseyside and old-time City hoodoos for one 90 minute game with the title almost on the line and a near full-strength XI in what is virtually a title decider against a side short on players (with so many injuries) and so much less to play for I will be royally surprised. It will only take one moment of indecision from a Blue like Barks and they'll be away. My head says 2-0 to City.

f Jagielka plays, we win....
if Alcaraz plays, we lose…..

Guarantee Lawrenson has us down for a win

Smash these Cityyyyyyy

We all knew this day was coming, it's a shame we are not a couple of points ahead of the Arsenal then everybody's mind would be made up, EVERTON all the way. Arsenal will not falter at home to West Brom so my mind is totally made up on this one. I want City to win. I can not stand the prospect of captain fantastic with the premier league trophy.

8-0 Everton please

Listen, everyone wants Everton to win because, well, we're Evertonians. But you can't pass up an opportunity to make the kopite mongs sweat like this.

The sniping debate going on is pointless, none of us are on the pitch so we will have little to no effect on the game. Just look forward to another Everton big game, and those out of town glory hunting beauts filling their y fronts over celebrating as though they'd won it.

Everything gonna be just fine. City gonna sexball us with their boss players and we will take it out on Hull.

Horrible feeling that we'll win 2-1

My concern is that City are bottle merchants not used to winning major championships, and have never won anything from a commanding position in their history - last minute championship win for example.

There's a few good posts there but for some reason this tickled me.

Horrible feeling that we'll win 2-1

That's a proper Everton fan.

i hope we wipe the floor with them and loose 0-3 only because my redsh1te next door neighbor has already bought a bottle champagne the stupid tw@t

This is what I want tomorrow:

AND THERE'S BEEN A GOAL AT GOODISON PARK!

Hibbert made a nuisance of himself on the edge of the area, the ball ran free, Aguero burst on to it and as the Everton defenders collapsed around him, he smashed it past Joel Robles from eight yards out! Goodison Park erupts, Aguero whips off his shirt and the Goodison faithful join in with the Poznan as the champions to be is set in stone. The final whistle blows and the fans are on the pitch! "Red and White Shyt" reverberates around Goodison Park and surely the neighbors across the park will be reaching for their bleach.

Watched Everton for 40 years.
Home and away.
Rain, hail, sleet, snow, the whole shooting match.

I remember walking back to the car in 1977, aged 7, crying all the way back from Old Trafford after losing the cup final. Two weeks later same journey, only from Maine Rd, even more tears.

I remember Inchy scoring at Oxford, I was there, the start of the Kendall years. More tears, this time of joy, as we beat Watford to lift the FA cup. I cried with my dad, and my grandad, as we danced down Wembley Way.

Titles, Bayern home and away, Rotterdam, cup finals against them and United. I was at all of them.

Wimbledon last day. I cried again. Tears of unbounded relief that time. I still have the huge wedge of turf I wrenched out of the centre circle. Prized. With its own little border around it, my own piece of that hallowed pitch.

Leeds away, semi final against Spurs, outside the players entrance singing my heart out, scaring the life out of spurs, lifting our players...our heroes, onto greatness on the Elland Rd pitch.

Then Walter, then Moyes and now Bobby.

In all those 40 years, hundreds of games, thousands of miles, through the heartbreak and the euphoria, the tears of joy and despair, I have only ever asked for one thing.......my beloved heroes in royal blue to fight for every minute of every game and make me proud.

I've watched some beautiful football, magic woven by those warriors in blue. I've endured a fair old pile of sh1te during that time too.

But for once, just this one time, I want Everton, my Everton, to lose.

Call me fickle, call me odd, but don't dare say I don't love my club. Don't dare chastise me for wanting the soulless, classless, inbred shower of sh1te we are unfortunate to share a city with, to fall flat on their smug, over bearing, patronising faces as Everton, my Everton, MY ONLY EVERTON, roll over and allow their title rivals to waltz off into the sunset with the much needed three points.

4th is gone.

fuk them, fuk their fans, fuk the redsh1te.

I always had a bit of a soft spot for Everton, as we were both in a similar predicament - go anywhere and say where you're from and people mention the other lot. Both have had to listen to the media bias for years.

But after the Lescott issue, the hatred that Moyes bred in them was ridiculous. It would appear that watching decent football and remembering that the real enemies wear red is softening them up a touch.

Looks like they're going to miss out this season, but hopefully next year the top 4 will contain 3 teams in blue. And Southampton.

that soft spot wouldn't be a caramel would it ?

edit :

Does it now mean that when Moyes attends a game at the Etihad , we can charge him admission ?
