Now that my preferred candidates of Wigan (for Uwe) and Brighton (for the away trip) have been knocked out, I'll be cheering for Derby in the playoffs because I can't stand Redknapp.

Same here. But at least Nedum & Shauny will get promoted if QPR win so it's not all bad

Ref is having a pretty bad game so far ... should have been a penalty for Benefica towards the end of first half ... 0-0 and just starting the second half now.

Apparently this Bacca character is who Atletico want to sign to replace Costa so far i'm not impressed despite the lack of service.
Gaitan has impressed me so far he looks lively and has plenty of guile,Moreno hasnt played well either but Garay looks decent.

He's (the ref) having a shit game really ... but how are both sides fumbling their chances after chances and making others' defence look so good.

I've watched a team for a season that scored over 100 goals, defensive displays suck ass.

Benfica's Bela Guttman Curse

In 1959, Benfica signed Hungarian coach Bela Guttmann from Porto. In 3 seasons he won two Portuguese league titles, one Portuguese cup, and two European cups. in 1962 he asked Benfica's board for a pay raise and they refused. He angrily left the club and said "Not in 100 years from now will Benfica win a European Cup." They've lost 7 European finals since: 1963, 1965, 1968, 1983, 1988, 1990, 2013.

Make that 8 now and add 2014 to the list!

If it added up to 23 they would have won them.

Beto was three yards off his line for the two saves he made in that shootout.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

I'm going to put a bet on them to win in 2060 then, although I doubt I'll be around to collect
