So does Darren Bent... okay, that's a little harsh, yeah, but at the top level you've gotta have strikers who do more than just score. It's why Edin's improving, cos he fell behind a striker in form who actually brought something to the team in his overall play - Negredo. He's got better cos he's realised he can't just hang about badly trapping the ball waiting for tap-ins. Lukaku currently isn't at the level of our strikers and has a long way to go.

It can't be April 1st, can it ?? Have I done a Rip Van Winkle and slept through Christmas ??
Surely Whinger would never, ever consider signing this duffer of a lamp-post.....or would he ??
He must be thinking of using him as a centre-back.

Xabi Alonso to Bayern really would make them favourites for the CL. Surely Real won't let him go?

Would the scum sell Welshite to the Arse? Can't see Wenger paying 12 million for a one year loan for Falcao.

Xabi Alonso having a medical at Bayern today says Balague. Done deal. United inquired earlier in the piece and were told no. Another snub.

I wonder whether he thought Khedira was off and decided to leave the moment he heard that he was staying because he didn't see himself getting a regular first team spot.

I think that includes paying his wages plus the tax due on them. However, I agree it amounts to the same thing; that's what a club would have to pay to get him for just one season. Can't see Wenger agreeing to it.
