Makes you wonder if they are trying to run the club out of business & sell the ground.

Leeds don't own their ground - or at least in December last year they didn't. When it looked like the current owner wouldn't pass the fit and proper test there was a consortium interested in buying it, and there was an article on the Beeb's website giving some details - they pay nearly a million and a half per season in rent (increasing annually) and there's a buyback clause (something like 15 million) which goes up each year too. If this guy was serious about the club he'd have bought it by now - if they're still renting it, that tells it's own story.

Awful club. Fans are a disgrace. Run riot wherever they go. I for one am not sorry to see them struggle

I know, most people feel like this. I've always had a soft spot for them, and I have no idea why (and this despite going to the scariest game of my life at Elland Road in the late 70s).

I feel the same way about Liverpool,Rags,Arsenal,Spurs.

The owner was on YouTube recently; he'd got up on stage with a local band and was playing lead guitar with them (they were playing 'Hey Joe'), so he looks a bit of an extrovert with a bloated, self-loving personality.

He probably wants a nondescript 'yes man' as coach, so he can do the hands-on management function himself.

It's got disaster written all over it and my ludicrously misguided brother-in-law, who is an ardent and life-long Leeds fan, is positively purple with rage - so much so, that I'm sure he's in danger of blowing a gasket.

That always works well. I actually do feel sorry for a decent percentage of Leeds fans (the ones who aren't brain dead/racist/thugwankers), as there are a decent number of proper fans who support Leeds. The other section however, deserve it.

Remember that mr Cellino is Italian and as all Italian chairmen want to choose himself the players to buy or sell. It's the rule in Italy because every Italian who loves football pretends to understand everything about football! You know, we're a very crazy people with a very crazy culture and so ...
