Has anyone seen a leaked picture of the third kit? I know we had hints on here but didn't know if there was a picture.

Bear in mind that these are professionally-taken images to make the top look its very, very best, with some possible post-photography editing (ie photoshopped).

My real issue with these kits is.....when they are in the hands of someone who will "leak" some smartphone pics....can they, in future, make it someone who is not a total spastic in using a cameraphone; ie. someone who can take a half decent photo.

Kits are pretty nice but fuck they look awful when shot by spazcam

Just got back from a day out around Manchester, called at the store and picked up 4 home shirts for me and my lads.

All 4 of us think they're great, better feel than last seasons. I say all 4. Sam, who is 7 months old, didn't throw up on it so I took that to mean he loves it as I get covered on a daily basis!

Just bought the new kit from sportsdirect at a semi-reasonable price. They have a 20% off deal today. 20% off also includes the champions badges.

Enter SUN20 at the checkout. Offers ends tonight though so be quick.

Just been to the city store. The home kit feels awful. It's like a rubber feeling on the inside (great if your into that sort of thing!) So opted for the away kit which looks and feels amazing! I think the ethiad may be a a lot more navy looking this season!

Are you suggesting a ban on Bosnians at these kit launch events?

Racist.

Cheers

The away kit felt like the same material from last seasons shirts, that snagged if you so much as glanced at it. The home feels like a combination of that same material, but with the soft feel from the nice Umbro kits from 2009. Each to their own I guess.

That 3rd kit from Madrid last season....the blue one was like nothing I've felt before.

So what's the story with the colour scheme for the away kit? Black and red stripes are my favourite so before I decide if I like this one I was wondering if there's any history connected to it.

Note to Nike-ee, any form of horizontal stripes, even if merged, wont do any favours for the midriff of many fans.

Well this is from the OS when they announced the strip, make of it what you will -

The away shirt features a dark blue collar with a lighter blue v-shaped insert, while the body consists of a series of blue bands.

These tonal bands are dark blue at the top of the shirt and gradually become lighter travelling to the hem to create a striking modern graphic.

In May 1999 Manchester City famously scored two late goals to secure a 2-2 draw against Gillingham in the Second Division Play-Off final at Wembley before winning in a penalty shoot-out and securing promotion back to the First Division.

On that day City triumphed wearing an away shirt of dark blue and yellow stripes, and to honour that memorable occasion this season’s away shirt features yellow names and numbers on the back, and the Nike swoosh and sponsor’s name are also in yellow on the front.

Inside the back of the neck is a dark blue pennant tab with the bold statement ‘We are City’ in yellow.

The new away shorts are dark blue, while the new away socks are also dark blue with a lighter blue at the top, and a wide tonal stripe of chevrons on the back.

Load of bollox though. Why not just do a yellow and blue remake if that's the story?

I agree. The away kit is very smooth and time will tell on the snag front :-)

Possibly the worst kit in the memory of man. And that includes Coventry's chocolate brown monstrosity from the 70s. A joke, surely?
