Think primark are interested in a shirt deal but they are worried about their brand being associated with a down market club

Maybe it was dependant on Champion's League exposure. Obviously there's some kind of contractual 'get out of jail free' card that they've played.

Looks like the Rags were pushing it to the limit with Nike and Nike clearly weren't playing ball, probably knowing that if the Rags don't win a pot every year or the Prem every other then the Rag hoards won't be buying their wares.
I seem to remember a figure of 73 mil as season being banded about, surely there's nobody else out there willing to pay that!

Unfortunately, in time, they will announce a new massive deal with Adidas.

Is it not just a case of the deal being up for renewal at end of next season and Nike simply not extending? Suspect rags are simply asking for a hefty rise and Nike realised they already have the shirts of the best team in the land and politely said fuck off. There will undoubtedly be some other mug shirt manfacturer who will throw money at the rags but it is a snub for them no matter how they spin it

I doubt they'll go without in the long run, but it's still nice to read. Their downfall may never come, but if it does I hope it's painfully slow :)

My mate claims to be a pretty clued up Rag, and his understanding is that Rags were dictating to Nike that they wanted them to pay circa £60-65M a year. Bearing in mind, that Real Madrid (The biggest club in world football) have a shirt deal worth around the £30M a year it's taking the piss just a little bit.
So Nike, quite rightfully told them to Fuck off! Haha. Not sure how this affects their current deal, again my mates understanding is that this was a renegotiation that they pulled out of.

The kit deal is with Warrior, and we know what sort of shite they produce haha

The rags seemed to be convinced Nike just didn't want to match Adidas.

It seems to be between the two of them. Nike had an 'exclusive continuation' clause, which would have allowed them to match any deal on offer that the Rags accepted. Now, one of two things has happened:
i) The bidding is already so high that Nike have considered it unfeasible to continue the process (unlikely, seeing as Rag shirt sales are so high outside the UK, where Nike are seen as a 'quality' brand, unless Nike have first-hand evidence to show declining Rag shirt sales in key markets, which is a very distinct possibility)
ii) The Rags have tried to pull a fast one on them, so they've left it as a two-horse race between Adidas and a brand that are trying to break into a new market

I too heard BiB's assessment. It was a 3-way race and Nike have pulled out, nothing more.
Warrior will get it, they paid the Dippers ridiculous money just to get their brand out there. Terrible kit on the way.

THIS /\/\/\
The rags will sign with the American boys,100%
I actually like the quality of the warrior stuff but the designs are a lot suspect.

TBH, I'd rather they had Nike, and we got someone else.
