Is it true that Southampton want to spend some of Liverpool's money on 'super John'

Jovetic is going to be superb this season. Fucking superb. And a couple of kids that could make the squad. It's good to be blue....

Jovetic is potentially an Aguero level 'A' list player & always has been.

Boyata had a really good game tonight until stranded near the end, very good 1v1 & excellent on the ball, but it's pretty obvious none of these blokes at cb are the same level as the other 3 from last season. Nasty was doing fine until tested by Alex, then he absolutley fucking embarrassed himself.

Imo it goes: Vinny, Demichelis, Garcia right now. It should go: Vinny, Richards, Demichelis Garcia. We have completely pissed a very good cb down the shitter. Hopefully we are getting Mangala but if he starts badly, we have a fucking problem.

Both Olympiacos and the Dippers played pretty much 2/3 of what should be their starting 11.... we played what? ummm... Clichy/Kolarov and Fernando?

Fernando currently doesn't get anywhere near my starting 11, or on the bench.

One 'octopus' moment in that game, but the rest is nowhere near Fernandinho etc so far imo.

It's early days to be fair to the lad. He's not the first and he won't be the last to have a slow start.

No no, I'm not writing him off, I'm just being honest.

He's more sea slug than octopus at the moment & new signing or not, he should have to earn his place, same as anyone else.

Oh I know. Even Zuculini's ahead of him at the moment. He might jump a notch when the likes of Ferna, Yaya and Silva etc are back though. What with them being inspirational players and all that jazz... most likely just a case of him not feeling settled yet. Communication etc.

He could also be holding back from full th'octopus mode due to risk of damage to himself plus opponent.

The octopus almost certainly isn't fit yet. He needs a little time to get up to speed but he's no slug.

Richards is no top class centre back. His positional sense isn't good enough and he hasn't got a good enough football brain in my opinion anyway. He has got a good leap on him but he's actually quite short for a centre back too.

Big Willy has been ace so far Hart has got real fight on his hands.

Richard Wright can continue in his best job in the world role.

The lads played superbly last night and some of the passing and movement were exceptional, especially for a team who have only played a couple of games together.

Pellers has got a few decisions to make but I'm expecting maybe one or two of those young players to be involved next season.

We find two new stars: Zuculini and Icheanacho! And Sinclair too make me feel more positive after yesterday ordeal against AC!

Couldn't get to watch it due to sky mobile locking me out of my phone account. Why were it not covered on the mcfc site? Seemed a big let down our own couldn't give us updates.

How much time has Nastasic already had, to learn that position & also to toughen up winning headers etc ? Boyata ? Boateng ? Savic ?

How long did Micah Richards get ?

The OS Match Day Centre covered it (not video, but the usual textual comments)
