I agree he won't start ahead of Seamus ( best RB in the league last season for my money ) if they play a flat back four but Martinez may be looking at the 3-4-3 he used to great effect at Wigan. Micah would be ideal on the right side of that defensive three.

Micah would be better than any of their defenders in any position if he got fully fit and shook off his rustiness. He was better than Zabba two seasons ago, miles better than Sagna and was the best right back in the country by some distance.

Imo Zabba still isn't as good as Micah was then.

And of course Micah is a country mile worse than he was then - and not really a remotely fit comparison with Zabba in 2014 - of course IMO only

You're both right ^

Just sadly it's a bit catch 22. Micah needs 10 games at least to get up to speed as at the moment he's totally lost it, but we can't afford a passenger. Shame really.

Spot on !!! Its fucking pointless saying if Micah gets as good as he was years ago ffs !!!..He's done and dusted, no football brain ,thick as shit in that department he is.

He will never, ever, ever, reach a point whereby he's anywhere near what he was 200 years ago.

Imo Zabba of 13/14 was better than Micah in 11/12.

But back on topic. I was sure all the time that he'd end up on the red side of liverpool. Glad that doesn't seem to happen.
At first I thought Everton would be slightly strange choice as like someone said, I don't think he'd start as their no.1 RB. But if they do play 3-4-3 it makes a lot more sense

Only makes sense if its a 3-4-3 with

Howard
Coleman Micah Jags Stones Baines

CARL mate, his brain didn't let his progression down at all. Injury did that. At least keep it a bit real pal.

I think Micah went to pieces a bit as a young lad under Sven & lost confidence, then went the other way & got too big for his boots during Hughes' time and the takeovers etc. But since then, I just think he's struggled for fitness.

Look at the fucking state of Negredo in the 2nd half of last season. More off the required level than Micah ? Nasri, previous to last season, under Mancini, Garcia, Kolarov, Dzeko etc. Hart ?

I think Micah has been very unlucky & people have not given him the same leeway to get his shit together as others.

A similar thing, is last season's Jovetic thread & some of the ridiculous stuff going on in that, compared to now, when there are rumours of selling him, & he has had a couple of decent games in pre season friendlies.

I would rather keep Micah Richards, than sell him.

Eh???? wtf has an injury got to do with having a football brain (Unless he was kicked oin the head and became a vegetable)

My point was his decision making is naff and has been for ages....On the top of my head at least 4 pundits have questioned his final decsion making.

I think Everton are gearing up for a tilt at top four, two (potentially) quality rightbacks would make sense if they were being serious (and the kind of cash they shelled out on Lukaku makes me think they are being serious).

When I say pundits , I refer to the ones this side of the globe , they have more football knowledge and zero bias than those fuckign muppets you have just mentioned.
