I'm really suprised so many people are expecting Arsenal to do so well. Its hard for me to see them doing anything different this coming season to what they do every season. Teams that concede 6 regularly don't tend to win titles.
I think on paper we are favourites and are the strongest throughout, even stronger than Chelsea. Doesn't mean we will win the league for sure (and based on what we saw yesterday we probably won't!) but I find it strange so few people make us favourites. And I don't just mean the papers, just people in general.

Suprised how few have rags in top 4 and none have them winning it, overall I would say they have been fair in their assesments.

The scum will top the league for the first 5 games as its fucking piss easy start for them.....then they will fall away as they play real teams.
I think we will struggle for a while if I'm honest - all depends if the main players click straight away.

I can imagine this happening.
If we don't start badly, the rest of the league has a big problem.

Normally I think we will win most games. But after our pre season and Sunday, it wouldn't shock me to lose both at Newcastle and to Dippers. Too many of our first eleven haven't kicked a ball in anger for a month. Not definitive I know, but surely they will be just a tad rusty, which I always thought the idea of pre season was to smooth out the rustiness. Fully see why in terms of injury but if we fall behind so soon it makes life hard like last season.
Bear in mind though my football tips are usually well wide of mark so it will probably be two wins and Pellegrini is a genius

Read the Mail one yesterday and was surprised to see 2 or 3 of theirs go fro the Rags. The majority were with Chelsea with a few going for us. Chelsea are also the bookies favourite with us in 2nd so can't really say too much about it as it seems to back what the pundits think. Although I'd have though a settled squad like ours, with a few signings to back them up, would be thought of more.

Don't forget that Chelsea have massively increased the strength of their squad by merely off-loading David Luiz.

At Ladbrokes last week, City and Chelsea were both 15-8, rags 5-1, arse 13-2. Dippers 10-1

Yesterday Chelsea were 15/8 and we were 5/2. Rags were next up at 5s.

It's hard to see a logical reason why rags have better odds than arse. Must be a lot of hopeful morons betting on them.

If your football tips are well wide of the mark, then so are mine NB, as I've an unsettling feeling that we'll lose our two opening games and we'll then have some indifferent results in the four or five that follow those.
This would then leave us trailing the leading 'pack' for some time, so we're going to have to be patient until the later stages of the season when we'll need a really strong finish.

Bit like last season then?
I do think the league will ultimately come down to us or Chelsea and if Aguero and Jovetic remain fit for majority of season then we will be celebrating in May again

If we keep our players fit then it won't be a question of the PL, it will be a question of the PL & CL Double.
Pellers already knows how the system works and won't be duped again.

Chelsea are the big worry for me this season. Costa is going to score goals, he is an absolute handful. Cesc in mid is going to add a whole new dimension for them. This is a very good Mourinho team. I think they will push us all the way, and are the only team I think can compete with us over the course of a season. I think everton under martinez will continue to surprise and liverpool will do well, but won't have that x factor that suarez gave them, winning games on his own.
Top 4 for me is
City
Chelsea
Arse/Pool
Pool/Arse
I don't think 3rd and 4th will be in the title race far into 2015. the scum will not finish top4, but do well enough for 9/10 "pundits" to pick them for the title for the next 5 years.
